What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday #567

on my desk…

For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

assembling paper flowers

First, let’s take care of business. I often share works in progress and forget to share the final project. But today I am correcting it. Last week I cut out these beautiful daffodils on my Silhouette and I completed them this week.

I do need to work on my hot glue gun techniques because as usual, the glue was all over my fingers. I also need to learn how to wrap the floral tape tighter. Overall, I am pleased with how pretty they are.

Last minute Easter cards.

Inspired by the pretty cards I saw last week on WOYWW’s desks, I decided at the last minute to make a few Easter cards. I grabbed some digital images I already had cut out, Copic markers and located some pretty paper and got to work.

The final cards.

I made four cards and mailed two. I created mailing stickers on my Silhouette to use on the envelopes.

I decided they wouldn’t be complete without cute mailing stickers in happy Easter colors. I used them on some envelopes I had in my stash from Paper Source.

Paper Easter eggs and flowers.

While my Silhouette was open I found a cute cutfile for paper eggs and flowers. It was originally supposed to be put on a wreath but I had other ideas. My sister gave me this cute bunny stand a few years ago and I knew I wanted to display it with my other Easter decorations so that is where I placed the eggs. You can’t see but I create one with rose gold paper so we would have one lucky egg!

Easter breakfast!

I woke up early Easter to make a yummy Easter breakfast – Cinnamon french toast and Coconut and cinnamon waffles with a pot of green tea. Then we spent time video chatting with family which helped to create a little normalcy to the day.

Yesterday I had my husband take a picture of me next to some of my flowering shrubs. They look best during gray wet days. The colors appear to glow. Short-lived so I always make sure to spend time enjoying their blooming season.

This morning, I grabbed one of those coloring books I showed you last week and have just begun to color. Will probably listen to podcasts and an audiobook while I color. Today I am going to try to take it easy.

Stay well, my friends.

Some Bunny Loves You…

somebunny1

I found this cute card in the Silhouette store (#56692). I am pretty sure that my boys will love them.  I used some Stickles on the tails and heart for sparkle.  I also like that it didn’t require me to use too many different pieces of paper. I now find myself looking at how many different papers I will need when I pick out designs to cut on the Silhouette. It isn’t that is takes long, I just don’t always feel like doing it. I have been using a lot of scraps when necessary to avoid cutting only a little out of a whole sheet (hold please…the hoarder speaking right now!).

somebunny2I also changed the words to a print and cut so that I didn’t have to bother messing around with little letters and adhering them to the paper. I will have to show a tutorial on how to do that on one of my Silhouette Sundays.

Well I am off to run some errands. One in particular, to buy the boys something nice to wear for school photos. Don’t ask when the photos are being taken…yup..tomorrow.  I don’t know why I wait until the last minute.

Have a blessed day my friends.

What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – 197

Hello Everyone!

Wow how quickly the time flies by each week. I am always amazed at how soon it’s Wednesday again (or Tuesday for people like me that write the night before).

Easter cards for Belinda's Crafts

Easter cards for Belinda’s Crafts

On my desk I have layed out all of my Easter cards I made for my shop this past week.  I just love the happy soft colors of spring papers. They are a joy to work with.  To the left you can see the Stampin up paper I used on the cards.

Next I need to photograph them for Etsy. So you can see them better on there very soon.

On top of them are some new inks I just received in the mail. I received one months ago in one of my monthly craft kits and finally got around to using one.  And as you might guess, I really like them. So I ordered a bunch more colors. I use them like I used the Colorbox cats’ eye ink pads. I generally use them for inking edges of paper.  But the beauty of using these are that they have a little handle built into them so that you really have better control and less on your fingers.  Needless to say I can’t wait to play with them.

In the back is some new Mo’s digital images printed and ready to be colored.  I also finally bought some refill for my tuxedo black Momento ink pad.

On the  right you can see some of my Copics in plastic containers. This is because I have yet to commit to buying another Copic case.

Up near my calender is some Queen and Company twine I have been reunited with recently. In other words, I found it in one of my creative chaos piles and didn’t remember I even had it. Pathetic I tell you.  But I am happy because the colors work well with my current projects.  And at least I found it before I purchased another one.  I’m just sayin’…

On the far right is my baby, my Nook HD. It is no secret I love to read and lately  I have been plowing through books. It’s been great.  If you are ever looking for a great read, just check out my reviews.

Anyhow I am off to go check out your desks.

If you haven’t learned about this amazing creative journey you can take every Wednesday, then head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Have a blessed day!

Belinda
