on my desk…
For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.
First, let’s take care of business. I often share works in progress and forget to share the final project. But today I am correcting it. Last week I cut out these beautiful daffodils on my Silhouette and I completed them this week.
I do need to work on my hot glue gun techniques because as usual, the glue was all over my fingers. I also need to learn how to wrap the floral tape tighter. Overall, I am pleased with how pretty they are.
Inspired by the pretty cards I saw last week on WOYWW’s desks, I decided at the last minute to make a few Easter cards. I grabbed some digital images I already had cut out, Copic markers and located some pretty paper and got to work.
I made four cards and mailed two. I created mailing stickers on my Silhouette to use on the envelopes.
I decided they wouldn’t be complete without cute mailing stickers in happy Easter colors. I used them on some envelopes I had in my stash from Paper Source.
While my Silhouette was open I found a cute cutfile for paper eggs and flowers. It was originally supposed to be put on a wreath but I had other ideas. My sister gave me this cute bunny stand a few years ago and I knew I wanted to display it with my other Easter decorations so that is where I placed the eggs. You can’t see but I create one with rose gold paper so we would have one lucky egg!
I woke up early Easter to make a yummy Easter breakfast – Cinnamon french toast and Coconut and cinnamon waffles with a pot of green tea. Then we spent time video chatting with family which helped to create a little normalcy to the day.
Yesterday I had my husband take a picture of me next to some of my flowering shrubs. They look best during gray wet days. The colors appear to glow. Short-lived so I always make sure to spend time enjoying their blooming season.
This morning, I grabbed one of those coloring books I showed you last week and have just begun to color. Will probably listen to podcasts and an audiobook while I color. Today I am going to try to take it easy.
Stay well, my friends.

Gorgeous flowers. I know what you mean about the glue , what I usually do is hold the thing to be stuck with tweezers so I don’t burn myself. The Easter cards are lovely too. Waffles! now I’ve not had any of those for years. We used to have them at the seaside with ice cream and fruity sauces, gorgeous. Take care and have a crafty woyww, Angela x17x
OOO those pencils look nice . I love your Easter cards and the papers eggs. The flowers are lovely and look great in your little vases. Your garden is gorgeous – such lovely colours. Take care and keep safe Soojay#19
So many lovely things to comment on this week Belinda! The daffodils turned out really beautifully but your glue comment made me laugh, I get messy too – I just don’t seem to have the technique right. Your Easter cards were lovely and the mailing stickers just set everything off perfectly. Love the pic of you with the flowering bush.

This is my favourite time of the year in the garden – everything is so fresh and always something happenning! Love all your easter cards and especially those daffodils! Colouring is a great way to take it easy but I’m way too impatient to do anything complicated – it takes too long! Stay safe, stay well, Happy WOYWW Cindy #12

Lovely flowers Belinda, inside and outside the craft room. Love the cute bunny plate and the great decorations and cards too. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7
Wow, so much done! The daffodils look wonderful. I was always amazed by how far that florist type would give, my stems used to look quite baggy, and all the sticky was on my fingers! Talking of which…glue guns and me…burns, blobs and swear words!! Lovely picture of you amongst the blossoms, you’re quite right to enjoy it whilst you can, in the grand scheme the blossoms don’t last long do they. Hope you enjoyed a quiet day of colouring and relaxing. Sounds like a good plan to me! Keep safe dear gal.
Hi Belinda, beautiful garden shot, gorgeous blossom colours. Great job on the Easter crafts, and the new cards. Have a good week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #8 X
What a lovely post, Belinda. So nice to see the completed daffodils, and I love the paper eggs on the cute bunny stand! Really sweet. Your colour charts are beautiful – a real rainbow of colours, and the colouring page is coming along beautifully. The breakfast looks utterly delicious, and I’d find the cinnamon and coconut waffles irresistible especially!
Keep safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,
