What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday #565

on my desk…

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope this day meets you in good health. I take comfort in our weekly snoop sessions as the news here has turned bleaker. I will refrain from repeating because the purpose of our weekly gathering is to inspire and uplift each other.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

Preparing my new journal.

So today I am working on my journals. As you all know I love journals. I have journals designated for different things. I have one for work, one for my reading journey and one just to write my daily thoughts. Today I took a journal I had ordered but didn’t use last year and decided to decorate it to be used starting today. One of my bookworm friends has started a challenge for the month of April to journal every day. She provided us with one-word prompts for each day. I think it will be fun and look forward to journaling with some of my bookish friends. I think it’s important for me to document my experiences and feelings during this difficult time.

I think I might color the desktop gray.

So I pulled out my trusty Copics and a digital image I had already cut out on my Silhouette and colored her up. I do think I will make her desktop gray because it blends in with the book too easily.

A quick selfie on my steps.

This is me outside getting some vitamin D last week. I have made it a point to sit outside every day (weather permitting) to stay healthy. It’s such a joy hearing all the birds. They aren’t affected by all this and they are going about their regular business. I didn’t realize how much I missed hearing and seeing them while locked up inside.

Bike riding in our driveway.

We put air in my youngest’s bike tires and he takes it for a spin in our driveway when the weather is nice enough. I am grateful to have a large drive that he can play and ride in. He’s bigger now but still enjoys the time.

I hope you all are well. I am going to stop by over the next two days to see what’s happening.

Stay well, my friends.

Belinda

  2. What a really lovely photo of you Belinda! I quite agree about getting out in the sunshine, it really does make you feel so much better. The weather has been gorgeous in the UK for two weeks so we’ve been outside as much as possible as well. Lovely to see your lad on his bike too! Your journals are lovely and if that’s what it takes to help you in this tough time, then that’s wonderful. I’m doing more crafting too.
    Stay safe and well,

  3. Hi Belinda. Fun picture for your journal. Enjoy using it each day. Yes, a good idea to try and get outside for a few minutes – we can only go out for food, medicines, emergencies – and 1 daily walk. The nice thing, though, is that my back garden is completely enclosed, so I can go work out there, or simply sit if the mood takes me.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

  10. Hi Belinda Sorry to be a bit late getting round everyone this week. How lovely to see you sitting in the sunshine. It makes you very grateful to have outdoor space to enjoy doesn’t it.
I think it’ll be really interesting to read how we were feeling at this time in years to come, I’m doing something similar but taking photos too.
Have a good week and stay safe

  11. I’m very late Belinda, sorry! Nonetheless, enjoyed your post – and a selfie! Hello beautiful! Happy to see you have some outdoor space for sitting and bike riding…definitely better for you if you can be outside for some time. I think the journal idea is a great one, after all, we are in the words of Hillary Clinton, ‘living history’ and it needs to be recorded from every social aspect if you ask me. Might help to avoid the media hysteria, I understand the seriousness but the media are causing me more anxiety than any virus threat. I love your colouring skills as usual. Also really like the colour chart that you’ve been referring to – it looks lovely as well as useful. Great big win! Stay well, try not to worry. Hugs. Xx
