What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #532

On my desk…

I finished this page! I procrastinated for a few days and then I decided I better get it done since I told you last week that I would share when I finish.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

I used a white jelly roll pen for highlights. I always wanted to use my white gel pen on my coloring pages and haven’t really found the right one to do so. On this page, I used it on some of the bubbles, on the coral and some of the other creatures.

The completed page.

I am so impressed with the paper. There is a little warping but I kind of like the look. It lends itself nicely to the aquatic theme. The reverse page has a large jellyfish so I think it will look really cool.

Happy mail arrived yesterday!

I forgot that I had pre-ordered these books it was so long ago. So it was a pleasant surprise to open the box and see these beauties. They are both high quality hard covered books. Spirit Animals is by the same illustrator as the book, Daydreams that I colored above. So now I have two of her books.

A peek inside Flora.

What perfect time for Flora to arrive. This book makes me think of both fall and spring so I can see me having fun coloring this beauty this fall. I mean just look at it. How cute is that little tree house? Oh and look at the little hammock.

One more peek in Flora.

A teapot house must be colored by me. I absolutely love it. Look at all the flowers surrounding it. So many possibilities!

This one is so cool I like that they designed a tech theme to go with the spirit animal spider and lady.

You all know I like butterflies and this one does not disappoint. It’s beautiful.

Let’s see, maybe I should make a goal to color at least one page in each by the end of September. Let’s see if I can do it.

Today is my boys first day of school so I am a bit emotional. I always cry thinking about how fast they are growing. My youngest looked so small entering the big building. I will feel better after a few days but the transition is always hard for me too.

Well enough of that, I am off to go snooping!

  1. I’m sure your son is probably handling his first day better than you Belinda, they usually do. Love the finished page, the white highlights are the perfect finishing touch. You have some lovely new books to work on too, I don’t know how you choose what to do next. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #9

  5. Well done Belinda, that page is just stunning. One a week is a tall order isn’t it…it looks as if you’ve spent hours on the finished one. How patient you are! I remember exactly how you’re feeling about school – I think I was much more scared and worried than my daughter and it lasted a week or so before I allowed myself to relax into the new routine and revel in her enjoyment of the new experiences. She was super tired though, it took her a couple of weeks and some quiet weekends to adjust!

  6. Loving the finished page and the highlights are a great way to finish it. Looks like there are some more great pages to come. I’m late getting round this week but will drop by everyone no matter what, don’t like to miss anyone out. Have a great creative week, and a happy belated woyww, Angela x15x

  10. Oh Belinda, what gorgeous colouring pages! I’d sort of forgotten about colouring books… I did quite a bit at one time. It’s very relaxing and fun, isn’t it! I love what you have done. Thank you for your visit last week. I am so sorry to be so late visitng you but I seem to have got all behind this week – probably drowning in veggies lol! I agree with you – they did look absolutely gorgeous, didn’t they. I love seeing them en masse with all their beautiful colours. Still got a bit left from last week but we’ll soon eat them up. A smaller delivery yesterday but I”ve been just as busy in the kitchen! I so agree with your comments about the woman at the hospital. I must say I was pretty annoyed that I had to stand up for myself like that!

    Happy very belated WOYWW,
