Hello Everyone!

First let me say thank you so much for all the love you lovely ladies left on my blog last week. It was the lift I need while dealing with this foot pain.  This week’s update: I am thinking of seeing a chiropractor for pain in my back and left side that might possibly be contributing to a miss alignment hence the foot problem. My doctor is leaning towards Planter Faciatis. My inserts (not custom orthodics) don’t seem to be working so we are going try another before committing to the hefty price for custom orthodics.  I made it to many desks last week but promise to get to anyone I missed this week.

So I have a hording tendency that doesn’t allow for me to part with my newest pretty stuff.  So today I actually broke the seal on two new paper packs I have (corrugate neutrals ad The Glitzy Pastels by DCWV).

Have I said lately how much I love my Silhouette?  Well, I do and the best part is that I haven’t even scratched the surface.  I made a easel card base. I really love cutting and scoring and prepping the base.  More will definitely be made.

Happy Birthday to my sweet boy, Apollo!

It’s Apollo’s 6th birthday today! Where did the time go? I remember it like it was yesterday, no I really do.  In a blink from diapers to first grade. Wow.  He is one amazing boy that has brought joy to our lives and today we are going to celebrate.  He said he can’t wait to open his presents.  I hope he can get some sleep.

At Toys R Us store, if you tell them it’s your child’s birthday they give them a crown and balloon and they announce over the PA system that it’s your childs’ birthday and if patrons see him walking with his balloon, to say Happy Birthday.  This is the second year we did this and he was just as thrilled as the first time.

I made this easel card for his birthday and used my Silhouette to cut the balloons and used some corrugated paper from DCWV that I recently purchased.

We will take him out to dinner tonight just the four of us and then next week he will have a party with his friends.

What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #220

Happy WOYWW! Last week I received visits from some great people and it sure felt nice.  Thanks for taking the time to write a thing or two to me.  I enjoy reading them.

I am in a bit of a funk…I don’t know if I told you but I hurt my left foot a while back and have been seeing a doctor to figure out what to do.  I don’t even know when and how I did it but I ignored it for longer than I should (because I am superwoman after all) and now I think I am paying for that.  I went for x-rays and a lot of really bad stuff was ruled out but now she is thinking I either tore something or it’s on the verge of it. So it has been wrapped and I am wearing inner soles in my sneakers to see if we can heal it.  I hate the waiting and wondering when it will be better.

Enough of my sob story and on to my desk.  The boys start back to school in a few weeks so I am getting organized to create a fall line of paper products for my Etsy store which has been abandoned all summer.  So I am stamping up images and preparing to color them up for some cards.

I am using some of my favorite stamps from Flourishes.  They are so pretty even if you don’t feel like coloring them.  Beautiful detail.  My desk is a mess so I spared you a wider view.

Well I have taken up too much time and since I shouldn’t be moving around a lot, I will definitely be visiting desks over the next few days.

So excited about my giant Dahlias.

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a fun weekend. I had a nice time with my family.  I am still trying to heal my left foot so we had to skip the beach this weekend. This makes me a little sad since fall and school are fast approaching and that means beach days are over.

Today I am going to get some x-rays taken of my foot to see if it can help us determine the best path to healing.  I believe it is one of those things that time off of my foot will really speed up the healing process. But it is really difficult for me who is pretty active.

My picture today was taken this weekend of my giant Dahlias. I planted them at this location this summer and it has made all the difference.  I had Leao take this photo to show my father-in-law.  This was my first year that I saved the bulbs and replanted.  I never do that and now I am definitely going to do it every year. I am enjoying seeing them surround my deck while I put my bum foot up to rest.
