Back-to-School Sale!

checking inventory

Hello lovely people. I’m back! I took the summer off and slowly getting my creative juices flowing for a new selling season. I decided last spring that I would take the summer off to spend time with my family, stress-free. Past summers, I would start out ok and then fall off work and stress the remainder of the summer about all the products I didn’t make. My oldest son also headed off to college last weekend and I wanted to make sure I was available to be with him during his last summer before leaving home.

scheduling

Yesterday, I went back into my craft room to begin planning for re-opening my shop. I had to check my inventory and see how many WIPs (Works in Progess) I had put aside last spring. I tried to identify which projects I still wanted to complete and plan production and release dates. I decided to work one month at a time because my life has changed drastically since I last posted.

quality check

We brought a new puppy, Ella into our family in April. So naturally, our lives had to adjust but I have to say, I have no regrets. We all fell in love quite quickly. As I mentioned earlier, my oldest son is now in college. So we are making adjustments with Ella to compensate for the loss of additional help. It also feels strange having only 3 people in our home instead of 4. We are a team so I am definitely happy and heartbroken at the same time.

Ella

Now for the exciting news. I am re-opening Belinda’s Crafts (Etsy shop) today and I am running a back-to-school sale with 15% off my entire inventory. So snag a few cards if you are so inclined.

I will also be releasing some new products over the coming weeks so be sure to check often. I will announce new products here, on Instagram and if you made my shop a favorite, you will get new product releases in your feed.

Have a lovely day!

New Merch!

It’s that time again – new merch for the shop! I have three new items from my Fall Welly Bookmark Collection releasing today. It’s such a perfect day to release them in the shop because it is a rainy fall day and all I want to do is grab my books and blanket and read!

I made three designs for this bookmark collection because let’s face it, you can never have too many different color welly boots in your wardrobe so why not add them to your books.

These bookmarks were super fun to color with my Copics and there were endless color choices however I decided to limit it to three for this first release.

Be sure to stop by my Etsy shop if you would like to own one of them for your next book.

Have a wonderful day!

New Product Release – Bookmarks!

I love being in my craft room playing with different products and trying out new craft mediums. I’ve been making cards for so many years and truly enjoy creating them. But another obsession of mine is my love for reading books. I have my mother to thank for introducing me to books and the public library. I cherished each trip to the library and having access to all those books each time was so magical for me. Fast-forward to now, and I have taken reading and the acquisition of books to a whole new level. I own several bookcases filled with books in my home. I enjoy watching videos and reading posts about books. So I don’t know why it has taken me so long to design my own bookmarks to sell in my Etsy shop.

Today I am releasing two new products – two Halloween-themed bookmarks. Be sure to stop by my Etsy shop (link above) to see more photos of these absolutely adorable Halloween witches! It is very important for me to challenge myself creatively from time to time. Designing on a smaller surface to create bookmarks has been my latest challenge and I have to say, I am really enjoying it. Coming up with images and sentiments and rummaging through my patterned paper stash to put together a small piece of art has been a lot of fun and just what I need to get me out of my creative slump.

I will be releasing more bookmarks for my fall collection in the coming days and hope that people will choose to purchase them to mark their place in their latest read!

Have a wonderful day!

New Merch – Mother’s Day Cards!!

Hello! I am back and ready to share some Mother’s Day cards I have been working on. I decided to create two different designs.

floral design

The first is a floral design that has a close-up of beautiful lilacs. I own several lilac bushes and each year, I anxiously await the buds and blooms. The sweet aroma that fills my yard brings me so much joy. So I thought that would be nice to incorporate lilac’s which typically bloom around Mother’s Day, in a card design. I searched through my stamps and found a beautiful digital stamp and used my Silhouette to layout the design for the card front.

Asian-inspired design

The second design came about after a conversation with a friend who was looking for an asian-inspired design to send to her mother. I told her I would look through my supplies and come up with a design. This card has a beautiful Asian girl dressed in a kimono under a branch of cherry blossoms. I used my distress inks to create a colorful backdrop that makes the kimono pop. I did a little research about kimonos in Japan and found out that color and style are often determined by the time of year. For the month of May, the traditional colors worn are orange blossom yellow and purple. I designed the card on my Silhouette and added dimension by having the image diecut.

So if you are in the market for some handmade mother’s day cards that will make a mom happy, stop by my Etsy shop and order one now so I can get them to you in time.

Have a wonderful day!
