What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #436

Well hello, my crafty peeps!! I’m back again with my desk that had some creeping clutter so I had to remove a few things so you could focus!!

Today before I begin work,  I am going to have mini colored pencils playtime.  I am finding that little blocks of time making it easier for me to do things I enjoy. Let’s see on my desk you can see my Copic Hexchart that is always there unless I go crafting with my girlfriends. Next to it are some Fall-die cuts I cut out on my Silhouette to use in my planner. Below that is a pretty little 6×6 pad of paper that I picked up for $2 last week when I went I go crafting with my girlfriends. It is called Vintage Wallpaper. The elephant case holds more colored pencils. I love elephants and this case had to be mine when I saw it at my local TJMaxx. I have a bowl of washi tape and on the lower right is my lovely Kindle. I carry it with me pretty much everywhere.I thought I would share a few pages from this amazing coloring book that I bought about a month ago. The pictures are large and has a mixture of detailed and large areas to color so that I won’t go totally insate!!
I still need to get inspiration to color in coloring books so I usually try to find real pictures of the subjects (in this case Egypt) to come up with color combos.
The cover is stunning and when I saw it in Barnes and Noble, I knew it had to be mine. I plan on slowly working my way through this one. I love that each page is only one-sided and the paper is very thick. You could color and then display them.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday),  head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Well back to work I go. I will visit many over the next few days. Have a blessed day and make time for creating!

  1. Hi Belinda, that colouring book certainly looks amazing. Look forward to seeing some of your finished pages. Have fun and Happy WOYWW Sarah #20

  2. Another elephant! I’ve seen loads on the desks today, there must be a theme going on :-D. Those coloured pencils are really beautiful – your time allocation makes a lot of sense, there’s so much I need to do and the non priority things get left behind.

  5. Hi my dear Belinda, that coloring book looks amazing! The images in it are beautiful. I have a habit of getting way too many books and not finishing all the pages… sigh, so I decided not to get any more. Hope things are well with you my friend 🙂 Happy rest of the week! xo Cheetarah WOYWW #13

  6. Hi Belinda. I love your organised desk. I’m off work today so will try and create some space on my desk! Colouring is something I have loved since being a child, I’m so pleased there are now grown up colouring books. Have a lovely week, Heather #32

    • Don’t be fooled, I had to move a few things before taking the photo of my desk. ☺️ I love coloring books too but this year I am going to try to really use them rather than what I usually do which is collect them!! Thanks for the visit!

  7. I am amazed at how gorgeous the pages are in these books and your colouring is lovely. Have a great belated woyww, Angela x7x

    • Thanks, Angela! I like them too. Often times the books I see have so much detail that I know that I will get frustrated but this has a nice balance. Thanks for stopping by.

    • Hi Jo! I know this one will last me a while but I am motivated to use it. So hopefully I will have something to show next time.

    Take care. God bless.
    Margaret #1

    • Hello Margaret! Yes, I am trying different approaches in hopes of incorporating more time for crafting. It always seems to get squeezed out.

  10. hello Belinda, I am late visiting blogs today as life interfered with pleasure. A lot of detailed work in your coloring book. Hope you are making some of it to go into your planner. people seem to be able to make their planners so interesting.

Now have to go and try transferring with mod Podge.
    Have a fun week
monica#18 thanks for visiting me. It was fun to read in the clinic waiting room.

    • Hi Monica! Life does tend to pull us away often from crafting doesn’t it? Now I never thought of putting some in my planner but if I can find a smaller one I just might add one. Transferring with Mod Podge…now you have me curious. Do share when you complete.
I hope you are well and have a blessed day!

  11. Wow – you are so patient. Those images are so intricate. I know I wouldn’t have the patience. You did a lovely job.
    April #15

    • Hi April! Yes sime are intricate but trust me, there are others that keep you sane! I wish I could take credit but the last photo is of the cover of the book so I can’t take credit for the great coloring!!
