Flowers from my garden

Dahlia's from my garden

Dahlia’s from my garden

Today, I thought I would share with you a photo of some of my favorite Dahlia’s from my garden. This year, I have had an amazing explosion of Dahlia’s in my gardens. This is the first year I planted bulbs that I dug out last year.  The ones’ that I planted near my deck are almost as tall as I and still blooming. I cut a few to bring inside to enjoy in the house. I definitely will dig them out this year now that I see how easy it is to grow them.

Have a great weekend!

New Product Release at Belinda’s Crafts – Halloween card!

New product release at Belinda's Crafts.

This new Halloween card can be found at Belinda’s Crafts.

Well the summer is over and I am back at Belinda’s Crafts to design and develop new products. I took the entire summer off from work and spent it with my family. I was nervous to do this at first because I am just starting this company. One thing I vowed about my company from the start was to learn to manage my time so that I can be productive and also experience the blessings of family.  So my office hours are when they are in school. Last year, I let work spill over at times but this year, I am going to be more strict about my time. It is a work in progress.

Over the summer I bought a Silhouette Portrait machine and will definitely be incorporating this into my products. I enjoy playing around with it and have learned a great deal about it’s capabilities. And sometime in the future I will also be offering digital products at Belinda’s Crafts. More about that later.

On this first Halloween card, I tried to stray away from some of the more traditional colors for witches and incorporate this lovely aqua that has become quite a favorite color of mine to work with as of late.  I even pulled out my Tim Holtz tiny attacher to attach the sentiment to the card.  I am always looking for an excuse to staple something.

Well I am going to go back to work but will be sure to share more soon.

Have a blessed day!

Hello Monday!

Some of my crafty friends I spent the day with on Saturday.

Some of my crafty friends I spent the day with on Saturday (Angela is missing from this photo).

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I had an extra special weekend because I spent all of Saturday and into the evening with some of my majorly crafty girlfriends.  We laughed, ate, snacked, laughed some more oh and we squeezed in some craftin’ time.  I don’t always get the chance to do this so when I do, I usually come home royally rejuvenated and inspired.

We always joke about wine and crafting. Seems that it makes for a fun time.

My dear friend Ashley lives out of state and she was able to comes so we spent some much needed catch up time.  She gave me a belated birthday gift which was a bonus on top of the day together. But when I tell you she goes all out on wrapping it doesn’t do it justice. She loves to collect wrapping paper (I suppose if I didn’t wrap gifts like a 5 year old I would too.) and her bows are always so pretty.

I almost never want to open her gifts because they are simply stunning.

On Sunday, I spent the day with the boys and Leao and we went sneaker shopping.  Boy did their feet grow.  Apollo picked his usual, black sneakers. He loves the color black. It’s so funny for such a young child.  Nicholas loved his sneakers so much from last year, he just purchased the bigger size for this year. Got to love these boys.

Well I am off to go and read. My bookclub meets in a week and I am only a quarter of the way through the selection.  But todays’ weather is good for a cup of tea and a book.  I would say good but I haven’t decided that yet!

Have a blessed day!
