Haul at my LSS

june182014aI have been meaning to share with you these great finds from my LSS.  The first is Samantha Walker’s Summer Lovin from Carta Bella. Ok, this paper pack simply jumped into my hands it’s so stinkin’ cute. The colors are so vibrant and happy.  My two favorite papers in the paper pack are:

june182014bThe bathing suits. Ok I can see this being used with some of my beach digis and making a cute little beach card.  The one on top even looks like bubbles.

june182014cThe sunglasses are so cute. I think this would be a great one for a card or a scrap page. They are so cute and I love the shape of the sunglasses.

The next paper pack isBurlap & Bouquets by Fancy Pants.  The colors are softer but let’s face it the patterns are really fun.

My favorite two sheets from this pack (hard to pick favorites) are:

june182014e

This floral wreath would be nice framed in a 6×6 creme frame with some lovely word or small quote glued to the center that has been cut out with my Silhouette.

june182014fThis pattern reminds me of some Aztec prints.  I love it and want to use it on a card. It’s busy but good busy.

The last paper pack I bought was theAs You Wish’ by Fancy Pants. The colors are very similar to the Burlap & Bouquets so I can mix and match them. The patterns are more linear. I could use this for summer or fall cards. My favorite two papers from this pack are:

june182014g

The graph paper pattern with the heart globe and sentiment. I think this too would make a great home decor item. I could frame it and include pictures of Leao and the boys. Maybe I could cut out heart shaped photos of them include.

My LSS has this mystery sale going on where they have packed up various items in brown paper bags, sealed them and then but a ridiculously low price on the bag. At first I was not going for it but my friends talked me into it and I bought a mystery stamp bag.

june182014j

For $2 I got these two Cling  background stamps from Hero Ats. I think they will come in handy with my water color projects. So I am thrilled. The second mystery bag I got was another stamps for $2,

june182014k

I got these floral wooden stamps. The lemon stamp will come in handy when I want to scrap about my new Meyer Lemon tree I bought this year.

I was thrilled with my purchases and look forward to putting these ideas that are rolling around into action.

It’s a hot humid day today, will reach 92 and I am going to run a few errands with the boys and then home to play some games and read.

I hope you have a blessed day my friends.

Thirteenth

thirteen1Wow where ever did the time go? I am so blessed to have married an amazing man. I love looking at the wedding pictures and thinking about the day and how many loved ones shared that special day with me.  As I grow older, I continually reflect on our journey together thus far. I enjoy the ease of familiarity in his presence.

thirteen2I think of all that we have accomplished together and independently.

thirteen3To this day, I am still in awe of the two boys that we made together. They are a major focus in our lives at this time and I still can’t believe that we received such a blessing.

thirteen4I think about how much love and support Leao gives me everyday and never take it for granted.

thirteen5The boys are being so sweet today. Especially Nicholas, who is being super helpful and kind to his brother today (which isn’t always a common occurrence). They are happy to have us both and I am happy we are able to provide them with the love and support to grow into the amazing men I know they will become.

If you haven’t guessed yet, yes, it’s my anniversary and I am still happy that our paths crossed so that we could unite.

I hope you all are well today and I will be back with some craftin’ happenings this week.

Have a blessed day!

Hey, hey it’s Wednesday!

day1a

Hello! I told you I am going to try and do better about writing posts. So here I am, mid-day spilling some content!  Yesterday was the boy’s last day of school. This morning I started us out with my morning walk. Although I had to go at a slower pace, they hung in there and made it to the end.

day1bNicholas ran ahead but by the end he was back with us.  This morning was warmer than usual so the slower pace was welcome.

day1cApollo had his Wii Fit Pedometer on so he could track his steps. I had my FitBit monitor so I could keep track of mine. They brought bottles of water in case the need to drink occurred (which it did several times).

day1dThe last leg of the walk they definitely showed signs of slowing down but I intend on taking them with me each day until they start camp July 7th. I want to make sure they move more this summer. Electronics really take away from their active play at times. So all three of us can get some active time each morning.  Besides I think it is a great way to start our day.

day1eI had a quick appointment at my salon and they sat quietly so I rewarded them with a trip to Chuck E Cheese.  Now first let me say, I am not a big fan. I usually call it Chuck E Sneeze because both boys often get sick after going there. But I discovered the secret – go right when they open, after everything is cleaned and no big crowd of snotty nosed kids (yes I am a bit of a germ freak!).

day1gI gave them each $5 to get tokens and told them when they were finished that we would leave and go have lunch at Panera.  Then we picked up a movie, puzzlebook and crayons for some relaxing time at home.  I ran up here to write my post and then I am going to have a little reading time with them once they finish watching some cartoon I am hearing in the background.  The best news is that I have leftovers tonight so no cooking for me hee hee!

day1h

Well, I am going to go find my book and put these feet up. I hope you are having a great day and any suggestions of nice activities I can do with my boys this summer are welcome.

Have a blessed day!

Goodies on Clearance at Michaels

michaelsMar2014

Hello! Happy Monday! I can’t believe I have been so bad about posting lately. Well I am back from a quick stop at Michael’s and was floored by the goodies on clearance.

All of Heidi Swapp products were on clearance and then when I got to the register they took additional money off. You got to love that! Had I known you know I would of swooped up more into my basket.  The colors of this collection make me think of Easter and I found some Washi tape and wood embellies by Recollections that coordinate perfectly. Even the wooden box that stores the wood embellies is a pretty Easter color.

I have been wanting this stamp set for Project Life for a while so I am so thrilled it came up on sale.  The great thing is that it comes with a coordinating die so that you can cut them out perfectly.  I just love it. Promise to share when I use it.

I am happy to be back and will be back all this week with more!

Have a blessed day!

Belinda
