Project Life Cards

projectlifecards1

This year I am trying to find ways to be more economical my crafting. So I recently bought some 12 x 12 pads at Michael’s on sale for $11.99 each at Michael’s.  I decided to use them to make cards for Project Life and cards for my Etsy shop. This first pad of paper is Heidi Swapp and I chose it for the colors. I definitely can make some masculine cards for my shop.

The pad included a few 4×6 and 3×4 cards and then I cut regular sheets too. It contained two of each designs so I pulled out one sheet of each design and then began cutting 4×6 and 3×4 cards. Look how many cards I was able to create out of this pad. And then I still have over twenty-five 12×12 sheets to make cards.

projectlifecards3I am using one of the IRIS photo storage cases to store my Project Life cards. Above is the cards I cut from Heidi Swapp’s paper pack.

projectlifecards4Oh my, this second paper pack is just so pretty. It is even prettier in person. It is Recollections ‘Today, Tomorrow, Forever’ paper pack. It came with two sheets of cards too and look at the cool wood panel sheets.

projectlifecards5And here they are all cut up in the photo above.  Look at the butterflies. My friend Joan always teases me about my love of butterflies so she will know when she sees this post one of the reasons  I had to have this paper pack. The colors are so amazing.

projectlifecards6I love seeing the cards spread out on my desk but the container person I am also loves seeing them in the case after I finished cutting them.  I will then label them with the name of the paper pack and put them in my case.

If you have never done this before, wait until you see a sale on paper packs and buy one then sit down and cut out cards while watching TV and before you know it you will have a bunch of beautiful Project Life cards.

Have a blessed day!

Silhouette Vinyl Starter Kit!

Newvinylkit

Ok so back during Thanksgiving break, Silhouette had a major sale on all products. I couldn’t resist purchasing a bunch of kits and a travel bag for my Silhouette.  I never wanted to buy them at full price. But with the major discounts I couldn’t turn my back. So with each kit you get a DVD with instructions, the tools, materials and about 10 free exclusive images.  This kit inclued the hook tool for removing the vinyl, the scrapper another tool to remove items, an ideabook, So it was a real bargain. I put them away until after the holidays because I knew I couldn’t commit the time.  But now I am pulling them out. One by one and as I learn, I shall share with you all the amazing things the Silhouette can do. So stay tuned for more.

Here are some examples of some great vinyl projects I have seen on the web that have me super excited to learn how to use it:
