What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday #592

on my desk…

Hello, my crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and you know what time it is. Time to snoop. For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

Today, on my desk, you can see a few things. The scrapbook in the middle is my One Little Word scrapbook. I am going back and filling in a little journaling I forgot a few months ago. I have made it a goal to complete this scrapbook by year’s end. I have been participating in One Little Word for years and never have completed it. I am playing a little catch up because I haven’t completed August and September’s prompts. I am going to finish them today so I can listen to October’s prompt. You can also see a new batch of letter stickers I bought for my book journal. I was running low so I bought some more. I use them to spell out the titles’ of the books when I review them. And right next to my tea mug is some cards I am working on.

Remember I bought the electronic Sizzix a few weeks ago? Well look what I found while poking around my craft room yesterday…some Sizzix dies. They make four different tag sizes. So I am excited to use them in my new machine to make some Christmas tags. Isn’t just wonderful when you find little treasures in your craft room you forgot you had?

This week I am continuing to read my way through the Frederick Douglass book. I am proud to say I am half way through this chunkster. If I stay on schedule, I will finish reading it by the end of the month.

Quick garden pick… I know I shared this one before but it seems to be blooming more profusely as everything else is dying back for the season. I sit next to it for my 10 minutes of vitamin D break each day.

A new stamp I just received that I can’t tell you how much I can’t wait to play with it. It’s a background stamp and I see endless possibilities. I will share when I make them.

My Halloween decor is up in my craft room. I bought these lights a few weeks back and I can’t tell you how much joy I find when I plug them in each day.

I think I will move them up a bit so you can see the boo and eek better.

Above are the cards I made during Saturday’s Zoom Craft session. I’m thinking of turning them into birthday cards. I also did some embossing with the embossing folders for future cardmaking.

Lastly, I will leave you with a picture I took from my youngest son’s bedroom window. Typically, this tree starts to change color on the top and slowly works it’s way down. I discovered this many years ago because I love studing the trees in my yard. But this year, it’s happening about 2 weeks early and going fast. The leaves are dropping fast. So I thought I would snap a photo before they go. I hope you all are well and making fun projects. I will pop around today and tomorrow to see what you are up to.

  1. Hi Belinda. That tree is stunning – the ones in our area aren’t as coloured for autumn yet. Won’t be long, though.Well done on getting halfway through that book already – wow. It certainly is a monster! I like the Zoom session cards – glorious colours. Enjoy making your Christmas tags.
    Take care. God bless.

  2. Oh I can see the graduation of colour on the tree, isn’t it stunning. Always helped by that amazing blue sky! The book of alphas caught my eye, I have promised myself not to buy anymore because they are so cumbersome to store – like Thickers and other sheets , but a book of stickers, well, that would be easy! Great idea for how you use them too. You got some gorgeous colouring done during your zoom session…I wold need to concentrate to produce that, so wouldn’t get much talking done. I know, hard to believe!!

  3. You’ve got much colour and prettiness on your blog today! Love the flowers in your garden, they’re so vibrant and beautiful. That tree is rather lovely too, our trees have only just started turning. Well done for working through the book, are you enjoying it though?
