What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday #580

on my desk…

Hello, my crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and you know what time it is. Time to snoop. For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

I am sorry I am so late. I had trouble sleeping last night. I was up until 2am reading trying to fall asleep. So I will be walking zombie for a day!

I have completed my first page in my new color by number coloring book. It was really fun and relaxing since I didn’t need to decide on colors.

There is something wonderful about using old tools that you have had for a long time for a new project. I am working on some bookmarks and I found some old dies that I haven’t used in a very long time. The only complaint was that I had to vacuum up all the little circles that I poked out of the frame!

Above is a picture of some cards I made last Saturday during our weekly Zoom craft session. I used distress oxide on watercolor paper and Copics to color the beauty in the water.

This pandemic has not been good to my waistline so I have started a new weight training program. So hopefully I will be recognizable when we finally get a handle on this pandemic and get back out there.

Sunday I set my stuff up on my deck to paint the background on a new coloring page.

Now that it’s dry I will have to come up with color combos for the dragon.

That’s all for this past week. I can’t wait to see what you all have been up to.

Stay well.

Belinda

  1. I agree with you about how nice it must be just to follow the colouring chart on that page, often I pick a colour and then realise it’s ll wrong, so that isn’t good! I do like the races you’ve been die cutting, I could do with some of them for some cards I’m attempting to make (I’ll see if my friend can do me some, I don’t have a machine). I think your setup on the deck looks marvellous, what a cool and shady place to do some crafting!
Oh and tell me about lockdown waistlines, I’m trying very hard at the moment as well. Come on, we can do it!

  3. Hi Belinda, love the dragon picture, and the colour by numbers sounds a great idea. Thats the worst part of die cutting, getting all the tiny bits cleared away after! Your deck area looks like a fab place to sit. Stay Safe, have a lovely week, hugs, Shaz #7 X

I love the die cuts (although those little circles will have gone everywhere). Despite all my swimming, my lockdown waistline has definitely increased so I need to do something as well! Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#1)

  5. glad you are enjoying your colouring – it looks good. love the cards too. have a good week, stay safe. Helen #17

Oh yes I like the idea of being told what colour to use – I am so indecisive it sometimes stop me doing anything! I have that digi of the lady in the pool – it’s a great one, I have used it mainly for friends retiring cards. I do sympathise with the die cut waste – its even worse when they are a cute shape and you can’t bear to throw them away!! Yes the waistline has expanded a bit but to be fair that was true even before lockdown – I am trying to go carb free at the mo, early days but I hope it will help. Happy WOYWW, Stay safe, stay well, Cindy #11

  7. Great projects on the go. I’ve a feeling that I might have some old dies that I’ve not used in a very long time. Must get them out soon. Have a lovely week and a very happy woyww, Angela x14x

Those are great die cuts despite the mess they make! I also love your cards with the Distress Oxide water. Re weight – I hardly dare get on the scales!
Stay safe and keep well! Happy woyww! Susan #15

gorgeous colouring pages i especially like the dragon. I know what you mean about expanding waistline- i am not a bad cook either – doesn’t help , nor does the fact that i am a shorty. currently looking like a football ( a wrinkled one!) Have a great week . Soojay #22

  10. That dragon is going to be spectacular when it’s finished Belinda. Love the cards with the bathing beauty. I need to get a grip on my waistline again too lol. Your colour by number page looks great and I bet it is more relaxing not having to think about the colours. You have a lovely place for relaxing and painting! Stay safe and happy belated WOYWW. 11. Lovely projects on your desk this week,Belinda. I haven’t done colouring by numbers but we used to do painting by numbers when we were children – quite therapeutic, and relaxing not having to decide on the colours once in a while! I love the die cut frames too. It’s always good to revive old tools and materials once in a while and give them a new lease of life.

Sorry to the late visit this week – my latest cross stitch project has taken over my life and I’m addicted!!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
    Shoshi x #8
