What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday #573

on my desk…

Hello, my crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and you know what time it is. Time to snoop. For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

Hello friends! Last week’s anniversary was so much fun. I really liked the idea of working on UFOs. I don’t have a shortage but it was really fum getting back to it. I was only able to complete one for our last WOYWW but I completed 3 more at my weekly Zoom craft session. Yes, those are jelly beans on my desk. And no, I should not be eating them.

This past weekend, I played a ordered some more printable stickers from Etsy. Once I download them, I have to turn them into print and cut files for my Silhouette. I have found that adding additonal lighting allows the machine to cut more accurately. So I steal, I mean borrow my husband’s book like and I shine my lamp on it when cutting print and cut files. Tell me these plant and floral stickers below aren’t pretty.

I use them to decorate my planners. I also bought some stickers for my book journal. This currently reading stickers are perfect. I just have to write tiny. I need to adjust the cut depth. It is cutting all the way through this sticker paper. I am using a new one.

I love the little lady reading her book.

It had to happen. I went shopping for plants for my father-in-law and picked up a bunch of veggies to go into my raised beds.

I amended the soil so putting them in is so easy. I tried a few new items this year. We will have to see how it goes.

My husband designed the removable screens so it’s easy access for planting and weeding.

I thought I would leave you with something sweet! I made an Italian Lemon Cake. The consistency was similar to a pound cake. It was so delicious. I am pretty sure my summer clothes will not fit me! (I wonder why!!)

Hope you all are well and creating beauty.

Belinda

  4. Hi Belinda. Great idea with the stickers… I wonder why the machine should work better with more light? How odd. Your garden is looking great – hope the veggies all survive, grow and become wonderfully tasty. The cake looks yummy.

  5. The stickers are indeed very cute Belinda. The gardening seems to be going great as well. I am having to watch my weight at the moment but I don’t think I would be able to resist that delicious looking cake. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7

  6. I love reading your blog Belinda because you like doing the same things as me! I also have trolley envy, that pink one full of plants made me so happy. I hope they all grow well for you in those lovely raised beds…the screens that your husband designed are wonderful and such a clever idea! Those stickers are really lovely, you’ll get a lot of use out of those.
And don’t talk to me about trying to keep the weight off….sigh…..

  7. Hi Belinda, the garden looks to be coming along nicely. Great job with the stickers, and great fix for cutting! I love lemon anything, as long as it’s not too sweet. Lemons should be nice and sharp, so many products are made way too sweet for me. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Shaz #17 X

  8. Hi Belinda! I wonder why the cutter needs more light? That seems weird, as if it needs to see better! I love your little book stickers, great idea! Your raised beds are wonderful, and what a clever hubby you have! Have a great week, stay safe, Lindart #33

  10. Hi Belinda! I love those stickers! I’ve been using my Cameo for 5 years now and it is my job, but I have never mastered the print and cut as yet. It is on my “to-do” list! We have been veg gardening too but ours are not so neat – those screens are amazing! I love your cards too – the sunset backgrounds are lush. Have a good week, Lisa-Jane #23

  11. That sounds a very clever way of doing your stickers, Belinda. Your garden is awesome – I love the raised beds with the screens! My hubby has been buying bedding plants this week. The garden is looking very pretty now.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
