What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #535

on my desk…

Hello friends! We had a long weekend so it feels like it was just a minute ago I was snooping around your desks. For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

What’s on my desk you ask? First, I was a naughty because I bought some cinnamon jelly beans and that’s in the bag on the left. Jelly beans are one of my weaknesses and I try to avoid them because I can’t stop. I also took out an old Prima stamp and stamped up this beautiful image on some watercolor paper and then I took out my lastest favorites – my Dewert Inktense Watercolor pencils.

Painted this lovely Prima stamp.

I had so much fun painting her. I bought these stamps so many years ago and kind of forgot I had them. So I am thrilled I pulled them out. I bought them to use with my Copics back then but I tell you, watercoloring them was so relaxing.

This is the other stamp I own.

I had so much fun I went online to see who still sells these stamps and I ordered a few more. I plan on adding a background color to the one on the left and including a sentiment to the bottom of each.

If you look underneath each of the images, I used two pages out of my desk ca for calendar for color inspiration. I can’t wait for the other stamps to arrive so I can paint them. I think I will put these ladies up in my craft room!

Well this week is a short post so I can try to make my rounds and snoop.

Hope you all are well and can’t wait so see what you are up to.

  1. Hi Belinda, what fab stamps! So good they are still available too. Great job with the watercolouring, love the shades you have chosen,Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

    • Jt’s quite embarrassing how long I have let these stamps sit in my supplies unused! Oh well, I’m having fun now.

  2. I love jelly beans, but wouldn’t have trouble leaving cinnamon ones, although I do enjoy the flavour in puddings! great images on your desk. Have a great week. Helen #1

    • I get that a lot about cinnamon. I think I like them because they remind me of eating Hot Tamales candies when I was a little girl.

Those stamps and your watercolouring of them are gorgeous! I have been looking for some lovely ladies for my journaling so will have to investigate and see if I can get a few myself. Happy WOYWW. Have a lovely week. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#12)

They are beautiful! Your jelly bean twin! 🙂

  5. The first girl you stamped has a look of Amy Winehouse about her! Now there’s someone who died too young, what a voice she had. Your colouring is brilliant, I’ve never really got holf of the Inktense technique but youv’e mastered it!

    • I love Amy Winehouse. I frequently listen to an Amy Winehouse playlist on Pandora while I craft. Her voice was amazing. Such a tragic loss for us all. Thank you for the kind words. I really enjoy playing with these pencils.

  6. Gorgeous colouring Belinda, she is beautiful. Have a lovely woyww and a happy creative week, Angela x11x

  7. Lovely colouring Belinda! Hope the new stamps arrive soon. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #2

  8. Lovely lovely lovely. This figures look great and I love the source of the colour inspiration, how great. Not so lovely..cinnamon jelly beans – girl please, they just burn my mouth!!

  9. Oh my word, Belinda, those paintings are just gorgeous! What a fabulous idea to colour the stamped images (and such lovely ones too) with the Inktense pencils. I’ve got a set of these and the colours are so vibrant, aren’t they. I’ve mostly used them for colouring Zentangle drawings. Thank you for your sweet comment. I’m afraid I got in a real muddle this week, what with all the stress over my PIP assessment, and completely forgot to upload my WOYWW post which was still in draft form. I’ve only just realised, so I’ve done it now, but it’s out of sync with yesterday’s post. The assessment went a lot better than I expected but it’s left me completely wiped out…

    Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Belinda, I’ve only just noticed your comment on my blog from last week! Lovely colouring on those stamped images – that’s something I haven’t done much of yet – I can imagine it’s quite therapeutic. Thanks for your visit – it was nice to hear from you! zsuzsa #18 (last week)
