What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday – #155

Good morning friends,

The sun is actually peeking out this morning so I am extra happy.  Today I have to make a shorter post (many may cheer since I go on a bit too long often) because I am running late on my morning routine with the boys. So between drop offs I am creating this post.

First thank you to all that left the kind words last week. I apologize if I didn’t get to everyone but I am aiming to this week. It makes my day everytime I see your kind words. Thank you.

So I am playing around with some new garden-themed stamps today. I love gardening so getting my hands on these stamps was extra special.  Practicing Copic techniques (one day I shall master them!).  Some new paper is also in the picture (Basic Grey’s PB&J). I just love the name and the colors are right up my alley.

I am also working on creating watermarks for my posting photos. Today’s is the first one. I will keep tweeking.

Later today I plan on drafting up designs for Father’s Day cards.

I am so sorry this is short and not so tantalizing. I promise to have something fun next week. I look forward to the ATC swap.

Well I better get going so that I can start spanning the globe looking at other desks. If you haven’t learned about this amazing creative journey you can take every Wednesday, then head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Have a blessed day!

Belinda

  1. Hi Belinda, Do you have any recommendations on where and how to get started in the world of Copic markers? It’s seems a little intimidating…and expensive ;o)

    • I will email you some links but search Utube and you will find an abundance of videos on copics. Thanks for stopping by Maggie.

  2. …nice to see a work in progress, I seem to be missing out as I don’t own a single marker…thanks for sharing…Mel 🙂 #21

  3. Thanks for stopping by (#153). How lucky to live near AE!! Of course I’d be homeless-but very happy!!

Now, how do you do the watermarks?? I tired once; got very frustrated!

    • Hey Kim! I used Photoshop Elements. I created two layers. One layer I made black so I could see what I type.
The second layer I made the font color white (can play around with the opacity to make it more faint if you like) and then save it. Then when I was ready to use it, I opened the file and the photo I wanted for the post and went back into the file with the watermark and deleted the black layer (or you could make it transparent) and then dragged the layer with the text onto my photo and then moved it to where I wanted it.
Let me know if you need more help. Thanks for stopping by my desk.

  4. I like the PBJ line too. Looks like you’ve master the copic technique to me. Thanks for stopping by my desk.

Fab desk and colouring! I’m reviving my love of Copics so I am also trawling the net for hints and tips! Take care & enjoy WOYWW, hoping your Thursday is a lovely one! Zo xx 80

  10. Those stamps look so fun! I have yet to get into Copics, just using Bics to color my images now 🙂 I love how your blog commenting is set up with the different font, SO FUN!!

I ordered my adhesive from the tapedepot.com They have really fast shipping. It was $23 for 12 rolls for my pink ATG gun 🙂

  11. HUGE Copic fan over here, so I love seeing people enjoy them as much as I do! Love your little gardening stamps! Good luck in using them in cards or projects!

  12. I’m not a Copic fan I have them but don’t like them, I use Tria which have 3 nibs, replaceable ink tanks that are huge and they all blend with each other to create more colours.

I admire people who do sketches for their cards, scrapbooking this is something that I never do. I just wing it each time.
