What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday – #224

Hi Everyone! Happy Wednesday.

Working on Project Life.

Working on Project Life.

Today another catch up round on Project Life.  I use a planner to document daily happenings to use for journaling in the album.  I just installed a really cool app on my iPhone called PicFrame that allows me to make photo collages with my images. I then import to my computer and you can see me playing around with one before I print it.  It helps me squeeze more photos and adds more visual interest.

My Project Life table.

I use this little table you see above to layout my project life next to my table because why of course I never have enough room on my table for the album. Because you know how crafters never have enough stuff, storage or space to put it all.

I spared you the rest of the room because I have partially unpacked from a weekend crop. I tend to take days to put everything away.

Well I am off to come visit your beautiful desks!

If you haven’t learned about this amazing creative journey you can take every Wednesday, then head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Have a blessed day!

What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #213

Hello Everyone!  Happy Summer to you. I missed last week because I was running around like a mad women with the ending of school for the boys. But then again, aren’t I always running around like a mad women?

This week isn’t that much better.  Family arrived from out of town on Sunday and the boys began summer camp this Monday. I am trying to come up with activities to keep my niece, nephew 3nd my two boys happy for this week. I am also working with my husband to plan our anniversary get away for July 18th.  So very excited. We rarely have alone time and we will have 4 days kid free. More on that later.

I did complete and deliver the teacher gifts last week. I didn’t have time to go pick up gift bags so I used lunch bags and used a Fiskars border punch on the top and then I used a ticket punch to create nameplates on each bag. Then I stapled the top (for added suspense) with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher.

I am in the process now of playing Project Life catch up. Which seems to be the pattern for me despite my efforts. I take the photos and have lots of product (don’t we all) but have not sat down and printed and assembled. I would like to get caught up over the next two weeks. So we will see. I am also still in the honeymoon phase with my Silhouette. I haven’t had it long but really am enjoying the great things I can achieve with this tool. I am even thinking of making my own cut files.

I wrapped them in twine.

It has been raining here something fierce and so my gardening has been fleeting moments in the breaks of sunshine.  I have no more to plant but the rain has multiplied my stinkin’ weeds to the thousands!!

I made three different styles.

Hello July!

Hi everyone! It’s been way too long. I have been helping the boys wrap up from the end of the school year and now today is their first day of Summer Enrichment program. We had so many snow days that we only had a few days off before they had to start their summer program.  This is Nicholas 3rd year participating and Apollo’s second. I am very excited because this year they are focusing on learning about the country, Madagascar and they will learn some French as well as some sign language.

12th anniversary

12th anniversary

Yesterday was our twelfth wedding anniversary and in a few weeks we are going to really celebrate with a getaway to the Cape (kid free)! I love Leao so much and am happy we reached this amazing milestone in our journey together.

Today I am trying to organize so that I can be productive this month while they attend camp.  Right now, I am organizing my Silhouette files and working on Project Life. Major catch up is in progress!!

We are blessed to have family visiting from Florida and the boys will have a little over a week to play with their cousins. I am so happy because it’s a very special time that they only get to see each other a couple times a year.  So swimming, movies, games, and cooking out is on our list of many things to do.

I am going to get back to my work but wanted to check in and say I hope you have a blessed day!

Digital Goodies for Project Life

New digital PL cards I printed.

New digital PL cards I printed.

Hello! Happy Monday! It’s the start to another week to demonstrate our greatness!

I wanted to share with you my latest find –  Digital Project Life (PL) cards.  This year, I have decided to part with the traditional PL card sets and make my own.  I did it for many reasons but mostly because I find that along the way, they aren’t coordinating with my pages. Also I never use them all.  So I have been making them with all my stamps and inks.  It’s been fun.

However, last week, I saw some digital cards on Two Peas in a Bucket’s site and downloaded them. I like the idea I can print a whole sheet of the set or I can print sheets of just the ones I need.

Some of them cut up.

I even found journaling spots that work great with my 1-inch punch.  So I can use them to make more cards or just stick them  directly on the photos.  I look forward to playing with them and altering them for my Project Life.

Have a blessed day!

Belinda
