Digital Goodies for Project Life

New digital PL cards I printed.

New digital PL cards I printed.

Hello! Happy Monday! It’s the start to another week to demonstrate our greatness!

I wanted to share with you my latest find –  Digital Project Life (PL) cards.  This year, I have decided to part with the traditional PL card sets and make my own.  I did it for many reasons but mostly because I find that along the way, they aren’t coordinating with my pages. Also I never use them all.  So I have been making them with all my stamps and inks.  It’s been fun.

However, last week, I saw some digital cards on Two Peas in a Bucket’s site and downloaded them. I like the idea I can print a whole sheet of the set or I can print sheets of just the ones I need.

Some of them cut up.

I even found journaling spots that work great with my 1-inch punch.  So I can use them to make more cards or just stick them  directly on the photos.  I look forward to playing with them and altering them for my Project Life.

Have a blessed day!

Fairy Time – New card!

Hello everyone!  I have a new card I made to share with you.  I originally created it for a contest but missed the deadline. However, I still can share it with you.

I bought a bunch of fairies a while back and finally colored up my first one. Brings me back to when I would sit as a little girl and watch all the fairies in Disney cartoons with so much joy in my heart.

Card for a friend.

I'm here for you...

I’m here for you…

Hello Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. We had a nice weekend with the boys.  Except  Sunday I was blown away by the season finale of one of my favorite shows – Downton Abbey.  I won’t spoil it for any of you that hasn’t watched it yet. Just grab a kleenex. I’m just sayin’.

This week is our February vacation from school so I have reduced my workload and spending more time with the boys. It’s a delicate balance. Today we went out for lunch and they bought some new books (my kids are bookworms like me!).  But I digress…

I began the post with the intention of sharing a recent card I made for my dear friend. I liked it so much I am thinking of making some for my shop.

New card up in the shop celebrating Chinese New Year also known as Spring Festival.

I managed to upload my latest cards for sale at Belinda’s Crafts, some Chinese New Years cards.

One of my goals with Belinda’s Crafts is to not only provide multicultural products but to have the opportunity to share cultural histories and traditions with my customers in such a way that they become inspired to broaden their life with the richness of diversity.

So when the opportunities themselves, I will include little historical tidbits here to tickle your senses and push you to deepen your appreciation of the vast world of cultures living on our planet.

Chinese New Year is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. In China, it is also known as the Spring Festival, the literal translation of the modern Chinese name. Chinese New Year celebrations traditionally ran from Chinese New Year’s Day itself, the first day of the first month of the Chinese calendar, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, making the festival the longest in the Chinese calendar. Because the Chinese calendar is lunisolar, the Chinese New Year is often referred to as the “Lunar New Year“.

The origin of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Traditionally, the festival was a time to honor deities as well as ancestors.

I used some really cool Graphic 45 paper to create the hanging lanterns and a Kanji character stamp that represents happiness.

I believe this card can be used for various purposes throughout the year.

I hope you enjoy the sneek peek and visit my shop to see the other card available for sale.

Have a blessed day!
