Project Life 2015!!

HeidiSwapPPI am starting off the new year with my first Project Life Haul. Generally, I don’t buy much because I subscribe to Cocoa Daisy’s Project Life monthly kits. So between that and my other products, I’m good.

HS_StencilsBut I was strolling around Michael’s over the holidays and saw this really cute kit by Heidi Swapp. Wow, she really is making a come back. I love the sparkle and glitz in the products. I even bought a set of Page Protectors and look how cool it is. She has gold writing and designs that will overlay your photos when you insert them into the pockets.  So I thought these products would be a great way to start my 2015 Project Life. I like the mini stencils too.

miniPLcardkitNow, on the confession front, I have not completed my 2014 album. Hold on don’t judge. I have worked on PL for a few years and this is the farthest I have gotten.  I have to print up the last 4 months of 2014 and then I can complete it. So my catch up plan is that I will complete one week of 2014 in conjunction with one week of 2015 until I have completed 2014 and then will only have 2015 to work on. So I will keep you abreast of my progress. One thing, I am not going to do is beat myself up for what I haven’t completed and rather celebrate all that I have achieved.

I will be back with my cover for 2015 when my new album arrives.

November 2014 Cocoa Daisy Project Life kit

nov2014kit1My November Project Life kit from Cocoa Daisy arrived last week and I have been wanting to show you what I received this month.

nov2014kit2These stickers are great. I haven’t had Heidi Swapp stuff in a long time and I am glad to see she is still around.  Evalicous label stickers will come in handy and the tiny alpha stickers are perfect for when I’m running low on space.

nov2014kit3I found the colors for the November kit not the typical fall colors but I am up for the challenge to make them work. I love the 4×6 cards with the calender on it. I think I will use that in the first week of November in my PL album.

nov2014kit4I like the little messages on the 3×4 cards.

More wood veneer embellies in this kit. I like the ones with hearts in them.  I definitely am going to use the cork arrows. The stamps are clear and once I stamp them I can show them to you. One is a pair of sneakers. I could use them when talking about shoe tying with the boys.

nov2014kit5There are even more 3×4 cards.  These are really vibrant and I can’t wait to use them.

nov2014kit7This is the rest of the cards. I like the messages on them and can’t wait to work them into my album.

Well I am off to go work on some cards.

Have a blessed Monday my friends!

Silhouette Sunday #14: Planner Stickers

plannerstickers1Sorry I am so late to post, I have been watching football and getting distracted.

For the last month I have been on a new fitness plan to get myself in better shape.  I usually write down in my planner when I exercise.  But recently, I decided to take it a step further to document my routine in a more inspirational way. So I thought if I made stickers with my Silhouette, I could use them to keep track of my fitness routine as well as my meditation practice.

So I looked on the Silhouette store for fitness or workout files. Once I found the ones that I wanted, I filled them with the color that coordinates with my planner and set up the page to Print and Cut. I re-sized them to fit in my planner and let the magic happen.

plannerstickers3I couldn’t find one for walking so I just made one with the word ‘walk’. The first sheet I let the Silhouette cut the images out. It did an amazing job and I quickly stuck them in my planner. But then I got to thinking and decided to fill the page with more and cut them out myself in order to maximize how many stickers I could fit on the page. (Always trying to save a dollar!) Even if I increased the margins I still wouldn’t be able to cut as many as I would like.  I am fine with cutting them out when I need them. I even found one to use for my meditation and yoga practice.

Let me know what you used your sticker paper to make and if you haven’t used it yet, take the leap. It’s worth it.

Happy Crafting!

Make a Card Monday #1:Happy Birthday Wish with Tiddly Inks digi

Nov10_2014birthdaywish1

Hello and happy Monday! It’s cold outside here but the sun is shining bright so all is well.  I had a fun weekend. On Saturday, I spent the whole day, crafting with my girlfriends up in Groveland.  I loaded up a bunch of images to color for cards, cutfiles from my Silhouette to assemble and my Project Life album (you know I’m trying to catch up!). I brought my Beats Pill and we listened to Christmas music all day. Yes, you heard me correctly, Christmas music in November. I say this with my head held high!  I love this time of year and I enjoy the music and let’s face it, 25 days of Christmas music is hardly enough. We had great fun and I actually accomplished a lot.

Enough about my weekend, I just wanted to share with you a new card I made. It’s a birthday card. I created it with this cute Tiddly Inks digi. I of course colored her with my Copics and used Wink of Stella on her wings for that magical sparkle.  And I added sequins for even more sparkle.  Let’s face it, a girl has to have sparkle.

It coordinated nicely with some envelopes I bought from Paper Source so less work for me and more time to play.

Well I hope you had a great weekend and I look forward to a fun week.

Have a blessed day friends!
