What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #185

Hello Everyone!

Holiday cards for the teachers.

Today’s post is going to be brief as I am preparing for my vacation with my family. We are going to Florida to be with family and cousins. So I am finalizing my suitcase which I am so desperately trying not to go over the 50 pound weight limit.

Apollo even wrote his teacher’s name on the card.

On my desk, I whipped up a few cards for my boys’ teachers.  Apollo even wrote his teacher’s name on the front of the card.  And yes, that is washi tape I used on some of the cards.   I think my hoarding days of washi tape just might be over.

His handwriting is so cute.

On Friday of last week an is an unspeakable tragedy left a deep whole in our hearts. An elementary school in  Newton, Connecticut a gunman took the lives of  20 children and 6 adults. We received notice in our boys’ backpacks that our school will be asking for donation of teddy bears to meet a goal of 700 that will be shipped on Saturday to the children from Newton.  So these two cute little teddy bears will be for each of my boys to donate to the children. My prayers go out to the families.

Teddy bears the boys are donating.

If you haven’t learned about this amazing creative journey you can take every Wednesday, then head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Have a safe holiday and I will be back in the new year!

Have a blessed day!

Belinda

Fun Photos Friday – #10

Wow it’s been a while since I have shared a fun photo for Friday. It certainly not for lack of great photos. My boys definately keep things interesting.

My little decorator!

Apollo really got into helping me decorate around the house this year. This little tree I bought a year ago and I like that it was small and safe for him to decorate. He jumped at the chance to decorate it.

Bring on the holidays!  Bring on the holidays!

Keep Calm and Go to a Place called Turkey

Apollo’s candle he made in school.

Apollo who is in Kindergarten right now brought home the cutest candle he made in class to decorate the Thanksgiving table.   The best part was seeing his face light up when my mother-in-law put it in the middle of the table.

Keep Calm and Go to a Place called Turkey!

Nicholas being the quick crafter didn’t want to be left out of contributing so he made this cute sign to put on the table too.  He based it on the Keep Calm items we see flooding the internet lately. He is so up to date it’s amazing.

Guess what we did today?

We went bowling

Today we went bowling. Nicholas has been a couple of times before at his friend’s birthday parties.  Apollo has been asking me for while now and today he asked and I just had to take him.

Nicholas waiting for a strike!

When I was growing up, we used to go bowling with my mum often. Back then, we had to keep score on paper and I don’t remember guard rails. I thought it was so exciting to get my pair of bowling shoes at the counter. My memories of it was very happy and my mum always made me feel like I was so good even if I had a major amount of gutter balls.

The boys had a lot of fun and we definately will add this to our list of fun things to do together as a family.
