Happy One Year Anniversary for Belinda’s Crafts!!

Working at my craft table

Working at my craft table

Wow! One year ago I remember sitting on my couch with Leao uploading my first batch of cards into Belinda’s Crafts, my etsy shop. It took a lot of courage and support from Leao and friends to get me to that point.
My first business seal

My first business seal

I have learned so much this first year about running an online shop and more importantly about me.  I have withstood many unforeseen obstacles and witnessed pure joy when I received emails for each new sale.   I am learning to turn a deaf ear to negative comments that don’t celebrate or uplift my business. One of my many mottos is,”I am honing my skills and building my business PERIOD.”

I have so many ideas for me and my company moving forward. I look forward to this next year with excitement for all the possibilities. As I continue to hone my creative skills to reach new levels, I thank the universe for all of my blessings.
Thank you!

Thank you!

Have a blessed day!

What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – 197

Hello Everyone!

Wow how quickly the time flies by each week. I am always amazed at how soon it’s Wednesday again (or Tuesday for people like me that write the night before).

Easter cards for Belinda's Crafts

Easter cards for Belinda’s Crafts

On my desk I have layed out all of my Easter cards I made for my shop this past week.  I just love the happy soft colors of spring papers. They are a joy to work with.  To the left you can see the Stampin up paper I used on the cards.

Next I need to photograph them for Etsy. So you can see them better on there very soon.

On top of them are some new inks I just received in the mail. I received one months ago in one of my monthly craft kits and finally got around to using one.  And as you might guess, I really like them. So I ordered a bunch more colors. I use them like I used the Colorbox cats’ eye ink pads. I generally use them for inking edges of paper.  But the beauty of using these are that they have a little handle built into them so that you really have better control and less on your fingers.  Needless to say I can’t wait to play with them.

In the back is some new Mo’s digital images printed and ready to be colored.  I also finally bought some refill for my tuxedo black Momento ink pad.

On the  right you can see some of my Copics in plastic containers. This is because I have yet to commit to buying another Copic case.

Up near my calender is some Queen and Company twine I have been reunited with recently. In other words, I found it in one of my creative chaos piles and didn’t remember I even had it. Pathetic I tell you.  But I am happy because the colors work well with my current projects.  And at least I found it before I purchased another one.  I’m just sayin’…

On the far right is my baby, my Nook HD. It is no secret I love to read and lately  I have been plowing through books. It’s been great.  If you are ever looking for a great read, just check out my reviews.

Anyhow I am off to go check out your desks.

If you haven’t learned about this amazing creative journey you can take every Wednesday, then head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Have a blessed day!

Latest mini haul at Joann’s

Goodies from my local scrap store.

Goodies from my local scrap store.

Hello! Hope you all had a great weekend. We had another storm this weekend that brought us a bunch of snow. However the temps soared a bit and most of it is melted and by the end of today which is a gray wet day with lots of rain on the way, I suspect all the peeks of white will vanish.

So yesterday I had to do a little after the storm craft shopping.  Ok, truth be told, I went into the store with the intentions of buying pop dots and a few new journaling pens.  Somehow, I went down a different aisle and was pleasantly surprised to see that Joann’s now carries some Basic Grey products.

This new line has a boy and a girl-themed products. So I bought the “Hey Boy” and the “Hey Girl!” 6×6 paper pads and some adorable flags.  I stopped there because as mentioned before, this was not my intention when entering the store. Therefor some credit is due for my strength.

I am off now to go think of ways to use my new goodies.

Have a blessed day!
