What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #192

Hello Girlfriends!! It seems like forever but it has only been two weeks since I was able to peek at your creative goodness!

I am posting the night before (shhhh.. like I do most weeks) so that I won’t forget in the morning before I head off.

A new card I completed for my shop.

A new card I completed for my shop.

This is a close up shot on my desk. If I showed you it all it might take some time trying to decipher what is on it and you have better things to do then look at that madness that’s a brewin’ on my desk.

You can see my lastest card for my shop. It’s another shadow box card. I made it for Valentines’ day but it could be used anytime of the year. If you check my shop tomorrow, you can see what beauty is inside.

You can also see my stash of bling and pearls. I keep them on a ring for easy perusing and transport.

On the bottom left is a little bit of a Chinese princess stamp I am  playing around coloring up with my Copics.  You can also see some of my pretty little flowers from Prima and my new 2013 calender. I decided to go with a quotes one this year.

Oh and yes, that is my jelly bean bowl to the left and it is so sad because I have managed to eat most of the yummies in it. Although I think you are onto something Julia, it could be a whole in the bowl!

My latest Joann's haul.

Ok, what girl doesn’t love to see clearance stickers in their craft store? Most of the time I arrive too late and sadly stare at the empty clearance racks. Not tonight!! Can you guess how much I paid for all of these stamp sets?

$20!!! Yeah! Love it when that happens. All of them were on clearance. Marked down from $16.99 to $2.97. I simply couldn’t walk away. Ok off I go!

If you haven’t learned about this amazing creative journey you can take every Wednesday, then head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Have a blessed day!

Hello Project Life 2013!!

Well it is another year and we begin another round of Project Life. For those of you who have never tried, you should check it out.  Last year, I did fall behind and barely posted pages.  But this year I aim to improve.  I think I may post a few weeks at a time to make it easier on my schedule.

My Project LIfe 2013 cover!

This year I chose another We R Memory Keepers album. I tend to like the look and feel of them. I selected red because it just has the energy I feel for this year.

I also made a big decision to make my own journaling cards. I like the one’s Becky Higgins has made but I feel like I will be locked into their colors and some weeks, I have feel like they just don’t go well. I also thought it would be fun to use some of my stamps, washi tape and many other goodies that are crowding my craft room. So let ‘s see if  I make it through the year or if I cave and buy some cards. Perhaps I will mix some in with the ones I create. I am going to keep my options open and focus on fun and documenting because that is what it is all about.

I will post more pages soon some come on back with a cup of tea and relax.

Page Ingredients:

  • Simple Stories ‘Snap Polaroids’
  • Washi tape
  • Stamps (Cocoa Daisy exclusive)
  • Dear Lizzy Foam thickers ‘ Merry’
  • doily
  • Jillibean Soup Alphabeans ‘tart teal’
  • fiskars heart punch

Finding footprints

Hello Everyone! I thought it would be fun to share a photo I took yesterday when I came home from picking up the boys from school.

First let me say while I think that snow is beautiful to look at and there is nothing as pretty as the sparkle right after a snow fall. However, as I am getting older, I am not feeling so warm and fuzzy about that white stuff.

But despite my indifference, I still have a habit that I started long ago that keeps me finding snow fascinating.

bird prints in the snow.

The snow allows me to see what animals travel along my yard throughout the day and evening.  I love trying to guess the bird or if it’s a cat or a squirrel. I even have started bringing the boys into the play and ask them what kind of animal left the tracks and what do they they were doing or going. It’s lots of fun to hear their responses.

This picture is of bird prints we found on one of our retaining walls in our yard. I had to get close up to make sure I captured the cute little prints.

So I guess I have to admit there is still a small part of me that still enjoys the white stuff!

Hope you have a blessed day!
