on my desk…
Hello, my crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and you know what time it is. Time to snoop. For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.
On my desk today, you will see my OLW scrapbook. I am determined to finish it by the end of the year. I’ve got some pictures there to be cut to include in the scrapbook. October we had to select a few songs that we resonate with right now. Then we have to print up a bit of the lyrics to include in October’s layout. I plan to be all caught up by Friday. That way I will be ready for November’s prompt. So scrapbooking is happening at my desk this week. You can also see 6 new ink pads I am trying out from Altenew. I thought this would be an easy way to see if I like them before I commit to buying big ink pads. The colors in this pack are so pretty.
Above is a photo of what happens to my desk while I am on my weekly craft session. Last Saturday, I was really productive and completed some cards and played around with more dies. It’s funny how messy I get when I craft. One day I will just embrace my mess and stop worrying about it.
Above are a few of the cards I created. I love butterflies and the white sheet I stamped up a bunch to color. We stayed up until late into the night again. It’s just what I need after each work week.
I kept on seeing my friend Ashley eating some yummy pretzels during our craft session. So I finally caved and ordered them. They arrive at your door fresh and I took them out and immediately froze them. Now all my boys have to do is take one out of the freezer and bake it for 8 minutes. They are so yummy and the smell is incredible. So crafting friends are not just enablers of craft stuff they also enable snack shopping!!
A quick post today because I have some things to work on today. My husband surprised me on Monday with a new Kindle. Anyone that knows me, knows I love to read and I read both physical, electronic and audio books. My Kindle is old and was no longer supported by my library app called Libby where I can check out ebooks from my library. So I was pretty sad and started using my husband’s reader. So he decided to get me the new version so I could continue to enjoy my ebooks. I thought it was so thoughtful. He’s a keeper.
Have a wonderful day and stay well.
Belinda
Hi Belinda, what a nice hubby to buy you a pressie without it being your birthday or Christmas, very thoughtful. Hope you plan to share the pretzels as that is a very large box to eat all by yourself though I’m sure you would give them a good go if necessary. Beautiful cards too. Wishing you a lovely week and a very happy woyww, Angela x20x
WOW your desk top during craft sessions are fabulous! LOL Love all of what’s going on there and what came out of it! Your cards are fabulous!! Ohhhh, I love pretzels, especially when they are hot and fresh! Happy eating! Love your new Kindle! I am looking at trading my old one in, but Amazon is pretty stingy with what they will give you for the trade-in. I may just have to take the plunge anyway! Congrats! What a sweet hubby! Blessings for the rest of your week! Felicia, #32
I love my Kindle too and read constantly, hope you enjoy your new one. The new paper in the first pic are very pretty, I don’t think you can go wrong with floral

That is one impressive pile of cards, well done! Lovely gift from your husband, how kind! I’ve never had one as I prefer “proper” books but they do take up a lot of room.. Have a good week. Helen #2
Hi Belinda. Great page to add your song lyrics to – enjoy it. My – your desk really fills up when you are on a roll, doesn’t it! The end results of your crafting frenzy are lovely. Glad you have the pretzels to have a go at – they look yummy.Enjoy your new kindle, thanks to hubby. I, too, am an avid reader. Always have been, or so it seems. Even worse these days, as, now I am on my own, I bring a book to the dining table!!
Take care. God bless.

It’s amazing how similar lots of desks can look and yet such varied projects appear from them. Your pages looks fab… as do the pretzels!
DO stay safe

What a kind present from your hubby Belinda. I must find out how to get Kindle books from our library. Love the cards you have made, you certainly get lots out when you are in the middle of crafting lol. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #1
Great present! I tried the kindle, and it’s great for trips…but I still like a real book best. Your cards are fun, very cheerful colors and themes. I laughed at being enabled by food as well as crafts ~ Very true! Enjoy the weekend ~ Love, Karen #40
Your hubby is a star, Belinda! What a lovely gift. My hubby and I both have very basic Kindles and don’t use them as much as we should, I suppose. Pleeeease don’t tempt me with the pretzels!!!
Happy belated WOYWW,

I keep getting messages for an upgrade to my Kindle but it is working for now so I just carry on. If it gets glitchy, I’ll moan and myabe my hubby will do the same – birthday and X-mas on the horizon… I still love real books best but the Kindle is great for reading while eating alone. Less chance of messing up the pages. 🙂
Your cards are lovely – butterflies seem to go well with so many things! Won’t comment on the pretzels (I already passed thru a desk with lovely Chinese food on it so my tummy is rumbling for sure!0
Hi Belinda! Thanks so much for your visit last week and sorry I couldn’t come back sooner. I was distracted by my new Fire HD 8 tablet LOL – only I had to buy it for myself but it was half price! I have a very old Kindle as well – it’s still working so I’ll keep using it for reading, but the Fire is so much more! It was an impulse purchase for me and I never realised how much I needed one! Even at full price it would have been a steal! Enjoy yours! Yes, your hub’s definitely a keeper – mine would never buy me anything like that as a surprise, but luckily he has some redeeming qualities LOL! Loving your colourful cards and your October scrapbook challenge sounds inspiring! Have a lovely week and I might see you again on Wednesday on WOYWW! zsuzsa #13 (from last week)
Good morning, Belinda! Oh.. I love the script font your blog lets me typ in. LOL The little things that make us smile. What a sweet hubby. I have 3 kindles. I have the same one I reach for all the time. Not sure where my newest fire is. Was just thinking of that yesterday. Pretty cards! I love the smell of fresh, warm pretzels but I dont’ like the taste. weird? LOL Creative Blessings! Kelly #31
