What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday #571

on my desk…

Hello, my crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and you know what time it is. Time to snoop. For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and for those of you that are mothers, I hope you celebrated on our special day. The shot of my desk above was taken on Monday. I was working on my scheduling for this week in my planner (on the left) I also prepared a print and cut of some new stickers on Silhoutte (on the right). They are so pretty that they make me happy and I see me using them a lot in my journals. In the middle is one of my mother’s day gift, a paint by number. It isn’t the old one we did as a kid, this is one that comes on canvas and can be hung as art in your home after you complete it. I had been talking about it recently so my husband surprised me with one. I can’t wait to try it.

The collage of pictures below shows my Mother’s Day. The weather was crap as it usually has been for the past few years. Father’s day is always full sun and warm. But I didn’t let that stop me. My day started with breakfast in bed prepared by my husband alone because my boys slept in!! Scrambled eggs with zucchini, peppers and sausage, avocado slices, cranberry pecan toast with almond butter, fresh fruit, green tea and a mimosa. Now that is how I would love to start every day.

I took a picture of the card they gave me because I know that only other crafters would truly appreciate it. It was created using the ancient art of paper quilling. Isn’t it pretty? I am going to put it in a 5×7 frame and place it in my craft room. I spent some time giving myself a manicure then read my books and watched a little Netflix. My husband bought me a new iPhone with accessories and a really good tablet/phone mount for my car since my old one is awful. He then surprised me and made me a ham and spinach pizza for lunch. It was quite yummy! I didn’t wash a dish, fold clothes, make a meal, or anything for the whole day. It was paradise. So I would say it was quite a successful Mother’s Day.

My final photo is a picture of my desk this morning. It’s beautiful sunshine today with temps rising later to something pretty decent. I may go out and weed my front flower bed. Yesterday we cleaned and opened up our deck so we can begin spending time out there. This morning I am working on bookmarks. I have a few colored and I am designing more on the computer now. I also snagged one of my son’s granola bars which I shouldn’t be eating because they cause too much of a sugar spike for me now that I am older. Well enough about me. I am coming to snoop.

Keep creating and stay well.

Belinda

  1. Glad you had such a nice mothers day Belinda, even though the weather wasn’t too nice. In the UK ours was back in March, the weekend after schools shut and the day before the official lock down began so I didn’t get to see my two older boys as they no longer live at home. A beautiful quilled card, well worth a frame. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #11

  2. Hi Belinda. That sounds like a great Mother’s Day. My daughters realised it was Mother’s Day in America, so decided we should celebrate (again) as well. They sent me photos of flowers and a verse of Scripture!! That quilled card is beautiful – well done to the person who made it! Definitely needs a frame! Enjoy doing that paint by numbers
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.
