Fun Photos Friday – #7

“Grown-up” Nicholas in mustache.

Nicholas is so cute. My sister-in-law, gave them the boys a bunch of mustaches.  So on this day, he came up and showed me one and I had to grab the camera and capture this little man.

He was so proud to let me take his picture.  Very cute.

Purple Irises in my garden

This is a picture taken in my garden after a rainfall. I love to capture raindrops on my flowers.  It looks amazing and makes me look like a better photographer than I am.

Leao and the tree

The Story: My oh so strong husband after pushing down the tree in our yard!

So I did take this picture of Leao and the tree that was being removed from our property. It has been a long time coming and we caught it just in time before the carpenter ants destroyed it more.  Please note the appropriate shoewear that he is wearing while creating this amazing feat.

Arborists and tree

The Truth: It took several arborists and a truck to bring down this tree.

I find that I am facinated at how much knowledge and skill is required to take down a tree without errors. If you look closely you will see the rubber ats they layed down on the grass.  Well as they cut large limbs off of the top of this massive tree, they would push them down and they landed directly on the mat then would roll to the edge and fall to the street where the other arborists would put them in the truck to be cut up.  When they brought down the final tree truck, they moved the truck to the precise angle before he laid into the tree with the chainsaw. It was amazing.

Apollo in blanket

A bundle of cuteness

There is something special about the feeling of a warm blanket when it comes out of the dryer.  I have always loved this since I was a kid. If I had to take the blanket out of the dryer in our basement, I would wrap it around me and inhale the fresh smell.  Then I would bring it upstairs for someone to use or to be folded and put away.

Well on this day, Apollo was my shadow wandering around the house and he followed me to the laundry room when I pulled out his comforter. So I wrapped it around him and said, “Feel it, it feels so warm and fresh”.  He of course took it in for a second and then went onto his usual antics and began playing. You can see the change in his face in the second photo.

Mischief is right around the corner!

I hope one day he will wrap up his child and let them soak in the warmth as I did many times as a child and still do as an adult.
