What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #171

Working on my fall products for Belinda’s Crafts.

Hello friends!  First off, I want to say This week I am in bliss.  The boys are both in school and I am able to finally show up to my desk to create some goodies.  My sweet husband took this week’s photos of me so you can actually see me at work.  Or should I say how the mess is made that I often photograph and share with you weekly.  Now that I can have real office hours, I am making sure I dress in my nice clothes (not my comfy sweats) so that I am feeling in the mood. At the current time, I am on a dress kick so bare with me. I love clothes and never stopped wearing them because I am a stay at home mom.  Oh and you can see how short I cut my hair. Yes, a new hair cut (see prior post). I digress…Anyhow, I am working with lots of products for my fall product lines for my Etsy shop and I am really having fun pulling out really old products and mixing with new ones. I am using some old Hero Arts stamps  and mixing them with some new K and Company products.

I am so happy that I can work on my craft projects in the day.

Oh and I forgot to share last week my latest bargain…an OttLite! I have wanted to buy one for a long time and wanted to find the right deal before I took the plunge.  A dear friend told me about a great sale online and I took it to my local store and they matched it. So that is the lamp you see squeezed in between the madness that is on my desk.

Don’t you just love the Tim Holtz scissors?

Ok, way too much of me… I better get going so that I can start spanning the globe looking at other desks. If you haven’t learned about this amazing creative journey you can take every Wednesday, then head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Have a blessed day!

What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday – #170

Hello Everyone!  Can you hear the rain? It is pouring outside and dark like night. I have to drop off my oldest first then return a few hours later for kindergarten orientation for my youngest.  There is no amount of wet gear that will spare us from getting soaked in the process.  Is this really necessary for the first day of school?  Oh and is that lightning I just saw? You have to be kidding me.

But for the boys there is a little buzz in the air that’s filled with excitement and anxiety.  The boys are having a bit of time getting back to school time bedtime which is 7 in the room and they can read for 30 minutes and then 7:30 lights out. This summer I let them stay up until 8:30. But this will change once they are in school all day. They are going to be wiped out when they come home. I am looking forward to the 5 and a half hours each day with the boys in school that I can actually work on my projects and take care of my health without the guilt of not playing with the boys.  Now I can have time to dedicate to work and then when they come home I am all theirs.

My latest sale!

So what is on my desk you ask?  Well I am happy to say a package ready to go to the post office for my latest sale on Etsy.  I am so thrilled. If there was a camera on me when I realize I have a sale, I surely would embarrass myself when it is played back.  The thrill will never get old for me. I am currently working on fall products and will be putting sneak peeks up here soon.

New goodies on my desk.

I also have a few new things I bought recently. One is a cute little Halloween stamp with the girl on it. I bought it at Michael’s (all Halloween stamps stuff  %40).  There are also some old stamps I have from last year waiting for my attention.  But the blue masks are brand spankin new. I am hoping to use to create some cool canvas pieces.  I also found a few others I had and never used from old kits of the month.  I won’t bother telling you how old they are but I intend on trying them too.

Well I better get going so that I can start spanning the globe looking at other desks. What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #169

Hello Everyone,

I took a week off due to inactivity and or pure laziness to photograph anything of interest.

Cutting cake with dad.

Well I took a picture of my desk today (a day early because I don’t think I will have time to do it on Wednesday).  First of all today is my youngest’s birthday. He turned 5 today. How the time seems to fly by so fast.  I remember his birth and all the in-betweens like they were yesterday and yet I can’t imagine him being 5 years old.  So first I must start off with one of him. As often happens, I take all the photos and I am not in one. I think the only one I found, was extremely blurry.  So this is him and his dad.

Some things a brewin’ on my desk.

On to my desk, well my mother-in-law’s birthday is this Saturday so I put together a card for her. So that is what you see in the middle of the desk.  I colored her with my Copic and used a border punch, pop dots and there you have it.

Birthday card for my mother-in-law.

On the left of my desk, you will see my ATG gun, some Spellbinders tucked under there and some new stamps  (a close up to follow), old photo of my mom and two of her brothers.  In the top middle, is some work in progress tags I am creating with stamps and distress inks. I cut up a bunch so I can crank them out to sell in my shop.  An old Halloween stamp is hiding underneath the ink blender. There is also some new Halloween embellishments from K and Company.  I plan on using them on some Halloween cards.

I have been more productive this week working on personal and work projects which is refreshing despite the fact that it is Back to School rush.

I also wanted to share some great finds I recently acquired at my LSS.  These stamps are so gorgeous and I had looked at them in the past and whined about the high price and then what do you know but they are on the clearance table for %40 off. A girl has to do what a girl has to do and I snatched them at the great new low price. I haven’t gotten to use them since I only had them a week but have big plans for them and look forward to coloring them.

My lastest goodies!

What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday – #167

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a great day. Well I have started the journey of cleaning my craft room so I am sure you all can relate to that mixed feelings the process always brings up. I am looking forward to finding things better and a tidy place but I am definately guilty of hanging onto to things for way to long.  So I tend to have a hard time purging. I feel I will be forever cleaning this room as long as there is something out there to be bought!

Some resist images I created today!

On my desk I have been playing around with different stamping techniques and today I can’t get enough of the ink resist.  I keep on pulling out more stamps to see how they will look. I found some old Martha Stewart Halloween stamps and just couldn’t stop playing. I am thinking some Halloween cards are in order.

Making fun accents with resist ink technique.

I love the distress ink colors I used. The orange and blue are so vibrant, they make me smile everytime I walk by the desk and see them.   Um… yup, I didn’t put anything away after taking these photos. Some habits take a long time to break.

Well a short post for me today. I feel like snooping so off I go.  Thank you for checking in and I will see you next week.
