What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday #527: Crafty Haul!

Hello my crafty friends! I have been meaning to share with you some of the crafty goodies I have purchased over the past few months. So here I am to enable all of you crafters!

For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

The first picture shows some really cool dual-tip markers by Tombow. I saw a Youtuber talk about them and had to have them. They come in different color sets. This one is called ‘pastels’. They scream summer to me and make me happy when I look at them. They are water-based ink and dry quickly for less opportunities for smudging. But what really attracted me to these pens was the size of the tips. One side is 0.8mm and the extra-fine tip is 0.3mm. So they are great for journaling and doodling.  The sharpener is for my colored pencils and has since been confiscated by my oldest son since I took this photo so I had to order another one in pink for me.Yes this one in the second photo was an impulse buy but for good reason. I saw an amazing project on Silhouette America’s blog for flower acrylic earrings. I just had to try it. I have shrink plastic but thought I would try their brand and the one I have to see which works best. I will be sure to share my results.
I needed some new blades for my paper cutter since it went through some serious use when the boys were working on school projects at schools end. These glue tapes are so cute. Love the colors. I use them in my book journal. They are so small and portable. The fun colors makes them a joy to reach for.

When I first really got into scrapbooking there were so many craft companies and blogs that I always had inspiration for creating and of course collecting all the craft goodies. As time has taken it’s toll on the craft industry and less people blog about the goodies that remain, I would like to share my finds to inspire. I have to admit I don’t scrapbook the way I used to anymore but I am still a crafter and creator and consume my share of goodies so I will make it a habit of sharing!

Happy crafting!

Haulin it!! Michael’s haul

Hello! I went in for one thing in Michael’s today and did not carry a basket because I went in for one thing. You know what happened…new products happened…pretty products happened and if that wasn’t enough they were on sale for 40% off!! My defenses were no match for this foe and so I caved.

Meet the new Color Splash line by Recollections:

march2016a
Who could resist these watercolor crayons? And I thought I would give their new ombre pads a shot since they were half the price of the Hero Arts.

march2016bNext was this super cute 6×6 pad of paper with resist designs already on them so all you have to do is use the watercolor with them to make them pop! I would have grabbed two but I had enough in my hands.  Then this really cute stamp set I intend on using on my cards (great sentiments) and in my planner.  The come with a cute stencil of trees.

march2016cI can totally see me using this stencil.

The next new product line by Recollections is called Boho/Bohemien:

march2016dAnother cute 6×6 pad with the most amazing vibrant colors with dabbles of gold foil accents. What girl could resist?

march2016eAnd the other pad had laser cut patterns that would be great on a card.

march2016fOh so pretty. I will be testing out the watercolor crayons tomorrow and the ombre ink pads. I will share my thoughts in case you are on the fence.

Happy crafting!

Craft Haul on Etsy: Sequins from Calypso Cards

sequins

Hello Everyone! I have been back in bits and pieces. The boys officially started school today so that means I am back to work. I had decided to take the summer off and try to play a bit with the boys.  So my Etsy store is pretty low on crafty goodies.

As you may or may not know I am very into sequins lately. No, not on bell-bottom pants or my clothes but on my craft projects. So I have been on the hunt for more sequins and I came across a fellow Esty shop called, “Calypso Cards” and found some this shop had some great colors. I ordered these three different packs. The purple hues pack is called ‘Viola’ and oh my goodness, I can’t wait to use it. I love them and there is lot in the package. The orange, red, green yellow pack is called ‘Citrus’ and I think they will work for a lot of fall projects.  The pink, baby blue, lime green etc. package is called ‘Baby’ and I think it could be use for many other purposes too.

One of the things I love about shopping on Etsy is the connection. She sent me a handwritten note and a free gift with my purchase.  So if you have a chance, do check out the shop. I hope she continues to restock these beauties because I am sure to go back for more.

Have a blessed day!

Goodies on Clearance at Michaels

michaelsMar2014

Hello! Happy Monday! I can’t believe I have been so bad about posting lately. Well I am back from a quick stop at Michael’s and was floored by the goodies on clearance.

All of Heidi Swapp products were on clearance and then when I got to the register they took additional money off. You got to love that! Had I known you know I would of swooped up more into my basket.  The colors of this collection make me think of Easter and I found some Washi tape and wood embellies by Recollections that coordinate perfectly. Even the wooden box that stores the wood embellies is a pretty Easter color.

I have been wanting this stamp set for Project Life for a while so I am so thrilled it came up on sale.  The great thing is that it comes with a coordinating die so that you can cut them out perfectly.  I just love it. Promise to share when I use it.

I am happy to be back and will be back all this week with more!

Have a blessed day!

Belinda
