What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #232

Hello crafty friends! I am back.  My son was ill last week with a stomach bug so I was pretty much offline and out of my craft room so I missed you all last week.  I have made a decision that I feel good about. I have decided that I am going to post to WOYWW every other week because the busy times are approaching and if I can manage my own expectations I won’t be so down when I miss a week. Twice a month sounds  more doable at this time. So I will not be here next week in case you look for me.

I am beginning my Christmas cards production.

I am beginning my Christmas cards production.

On my desk you can see some images that I need to color up for holiday cards.  To the right of it the brown cardstock is some paper cut out on my Silhouette. It is for a mini album I am working on.  To the left of my images is my Birchbox which came in the mail today. It is a company I pay a very small fee and monthly they send me sames and some full size items of beauty products. Tomorrow I will post the contents for this month’s box. I love receiving them. It’s been really fun.

In the box to the right of my image is all of my 6×6 holiday paper packs. I have so many they are busting out of the box. I don’t know about you but I am a sucker for holiday paper.

Above is some winter images that I cut out with my Silhouette and need to color them. I love looking at them while I work.  But I guess I better get to coloring them.

I love coloring.

Hello Everyone!  Happy WOYWWW!  I missed you all last week. Just needed a break to tend to home.  But I have been doing some crafting. My challenge to myself via my blog series has proven to be the jump start  my craftin’ mojo needed and I have been crafting daily.  So I am really happy with my progress.

On my desk you can see the birthday card I made for my sister, and a  fun one that I made for my shop with a vintage stove on it. The other two, I am still working on for cards.

I bought a new printer combo a few weeks ago in place of my old Epson which printed beautifully but the toner cartridges were too expensive and cutting into my fun money so I got a combo that can print, scan and copy. Although it isn’t as amazing as my Epson, it is pretty good and the toner is a third the cost. So more fun money and if I need amazing printing I will send them out.  I am so thrilled to have a scanner because I have just begun my genealogy research and I can scan right here.

Well, I am off to come visit your desks!

What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #228

Hello Everyone!  I hope you all are feeling happy today. If not for any other reason then the fact we get to snoop! I am feeling very happy because I am keeping my promise I made on my new blog series, Confessions of a Scrapbook Kit Hoarder and have been creating cards and my first scrapbook LO in a long time. So if you have time to snoop, please feel free to check it out and push me. My friends, April Daqa, and Ria have given me a a nudge or two. (Thanks ladies, it has been very helpful receiving your encouragement.)

On to my desk today.  Well I am working on another card and the photo back there is for another LO I will be working on soon.  Tucked next to my lamp is a few cards, one  birthday card I just entered into a card challenge. I am working on the card you see on the desk for my Etsy shop.

As you can see I still haven’t bought another Copics case for my overflow of markers. I filled the first bag quite some time ago and store the excess in these clear compartments. I am waiting for the price to go down before I make the commitment. I received my first case when I received my Copics training so I don’t feel like paying for the second myself. Don’t want to cut into my crafting budget for a storage bag. So I suffer with the inconvenience when I want to move to another room or go to crop.  Enough of my whining…

Preparing for a new blog series.

Preparing for a new blog series.

Hello Everyone! How are my crafty friends doing today?  I hope well. I have to say thank you so much to all of you who left comments last week. I promise to visit any of you that I missed this week.

I am feeling happy today. I just started working on a new blog series for this site. the name of it is, “Confessions of a Scrapbook Kit Hoarder“.  It will be so helpful for me to move me through my creative hoarding habits into a  more productive crafter while at the same time sharing my creative process with my readers.

So what you see on my desk is the beginnings of the planning process. So if you are interested in seeing if I can kick the hoarding habit, do check back on the site regularly to see the cool projects I can come up with using my kits. (Yes, that would be a shameless plug and I apologize.  However the more people that read, the more likely I will honor my commitment and create more with my kits.).

Oh and do you see my new toy in the middle of the table? I bought the WeRMemoryKeepers 3×4 punch. It cuts photos and papers to 3×4 and rounds the corners too. Perfect for the Page Protectors in my Project Life.

I am off to come visit your desks!
