Happy Monday! Some new cards to share

thankyoujar1I decided a while back that I had started to stop making cards for friends and family because I kept making cards for my shop. But I enjoy the reactions I get (yup, glory to be had!) from family and friends when I send them a handmade card. So I am on a mission to make cards that I can share separate from my shop.  This is one of the cards I made while at the crop. I used this cute Silhouette file (Design ID #54492). I think it is still on sale so snatch it up if you can.  The cool think about this file is that you can save the inverse (hearts from the jar) and use them on another project.

I made a couple different ones with a little different sentiments.

Confessions of a Scrapbook Kit Hoarder…#2

Hello everyone, happy Friday!

Welcome to my new blog series, “Confessions of a Scrapbook Kit Hoarder“. If you haven’t already, please read The Intervention so you can understand the inspiration for this craft project.

My first project I created with my September kit is a Thank You card:

Thank you card.

Thank you card.

Card ingredients:

  • I used the Parfait cardstock and cut out a 6×6 card base.
  • A sheet from the AC Everyday paper pad from my personal stash
  • A piece of the gold vellum that was included in the kit.
  • White cardstock from my stash for the die cut.
  • I colored up this gorgeous MazyArt digi to match all the rich colors.
  • I also added some gemstones from my stash for additional accents.
  • A sheet of yellow paper from my stash to make the envelop. (I got to use my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board)

I love how vibrant the colors are on this card. They make me feel happy.  It feels good to use somethings from my kit so far. I have the other half of that Parfait cardstock and will make another 6×6 card. I have only begun but I can’t wait to make another card.

I will post my next card very soon.

Happy crafting!

Belinda

What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday – #174

Hello everyone!! It’s that time again.  Snooping all over the globe!

Well my first photo is of a thank you card I literally created this morning after feeding the boys breakfast.  My son Nicholas celebrated his ninth birthday this past weekend. But when he came out of school on Monday, he was so happy and was wearing a t-shirt over his clothes with all his classmate’s birthday wishes written all over it. She took it upon herself to celebrate is birthday with his classmates and provided the t-shirt and had the kids sign it. I thought that was really sweet and wanted to make her a card.

A thank you card I made for my son’s teacher.

The funny thing is that I had limited time (10 minutes before drop off) and I pulled this design out of my head.  But when I am working on cards for my shop, oh I can’t  decide very fast. Some days it’s like watching paint dry. ha ha.

Some more Halloween cards I am working on for my shop.

So far it has been a productive week for me. I just wrapped up these Halloween cards for my shop.  You can see a new My Minds Eye  paper pad I just receivedin the mail and some pretty paper cut with a Dynamics die.  I paper pierced my little girl and colored her with my Copics.

Here are my final cards.

Well I could on but I feel a snooping urge coming on so I am going to get started. Thanks for stopping by my desk. I really enjoy the comments you all leave.

If you haven’t learned about this amazing creative journey you can take every Wednesday, then head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world for What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Have a blessed day!

Belinda
