What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday #581

on my desk…

Hello, my crafty friends! It’s Wednesday and you know what time it is. Time to snoop. For those of you that aren’t familiar with WOYWW (What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday), head on over to Julia’s Stamping Ground and you will find desks from all around the world where we get to snoop on other crafter’s desks.

Quick confession. My desk shots of my travel journals are all taken on Tuesday. I am writing this ahead of time because I have some work to do Wednesday morning. So I apologize for the lighting. On my desk it the coloring book I was working on last week. I am almost finished and will share when I finish it.

Always want to share some garden/nature pictures. I had some yummy veggies this week. My cucumbers were so huge and the squash and zucchini. Growing vegetables never gets old to me. I get happy with each and every one of them.

It has been so hot for many days now and last Saturday I couldn’t think of what to work on at my weekly Zoom craft hour. So I decided to cover more travel journals for my scrapbooking. I made some more cover titles and picked out paper. It’s so great to use up my paper.

Above are some of the pages I covered. I love the watermelon paper. I put it in the June journal.

I made a lot of iced tea and infused water over the weekend and took some time to fit some reading in my days since I was too tired to do anything else.

The last thing I will leave you with is a visitor this week. This turkey couldn’t take the heat and thought my birdbath might be a good place to get a drink.

Stay well, my friends.

Belinda

  1. Cool journals ready for photos and journaling Belinda. You have plenty of pretty papers. Hope it cools down a little for you soon, although the weather seems to be good for the veggies. That infusion looks very refreshing. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

  2. Lol a t the turkey looking for a drink – we don’t get those in our gardens in Wales!! I’ve been drinking a lot of water and juices too, otherwise I get headaches in this warm weather. I always like seeing your garden as it is so well maintained and those veg are impressive! I also love those travel journals, well worth using some of your beautiful papers!!

  3. Hi Belinda. Great shot of that turkey! Wherever did he come from? Those vegetables look fantastic – so glad you enjoyed them – well done. Lovely little travel journals – and a great idea to put some patterned paper on the pages. I am intrigued as to what you will put into them – as, I don’t know about you, but the word “travel” seems to have disappeared from our usage at the moment. I go to the shop, come home; then to the chemist once a month and come home… the only real journey was a week last Sunday to see my family. Not even been over to the mountains this year.
    Take care. God bless.

  5. I’m so with you on the veggies front – it gives me such joy to eat things straight from the garden. I love the little TNs you’ve made and the papers are gorgeous. Have a fantabulous week! Lisa-Jane #1

  6. That looks like a very busy desk. Loving the nail varnish too and the lovely garden picks. Bit late as we’ve managed an afternoon outside with friends. Hope your woyww has been good too. Hugs, Angela x11x

  7. Well look at that, a turkey as a visitor! Doesn’t your garden look gorgeous. So worth all your work. Then veggies look marvellous, glad you enjoying them. I’m like you, love to use up paper and those journals are perfect for that, the watermelon paper is delicious….so much so that I would have hesitated to use it – which starts the whole cycle again!

What an interesting post! Loved the photo of the turkey and am very impressed with the veggies. I miss our allotment that we left behind…

  9. I love your journal covers, Belinda, and such pretty papers, and as for your vegetables! They look really delicious! I hope you are surviving the heat. How funny to see a turkey in the garden… We just have the regular UK blackbirds and sparrows and of course, where we are, masses of seagulls which usually scare off the smaller birds. It’s been nice having more garden birds this year but the kitties made inroads into the blackbird family unfortunately… Your cool drinks look delicious, too.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
